What horn are you playing?
Love this. Check out Axel Dorner for free improv on trumpet. Look for 'The Interruption piece'
Interesante ...que posiciones de dedos pone?
this scared me
dont let him cook right
idk why this was recommended but im terrified
You are a truly dedicated player! Beautiful!
Yo, song name?
I think I'm going to call it "departed with the waves"
i respect the grind bu this is not enjoyable, while key mashing and "whistle notes" are a good sound for a solo climax they do not hold as the solo itself, add more melodic lines and true melody over this!
what is this "key mashing" you refer to? I've never heard that term in the 25+ plus years I've been a saxophone player. The fingerings I use are in the books on multiphonics and altissimo although I've had to modify them a bit to work better on a Martin alto rather than the Selmers or Yamaha's which respond a bit differently. Embouchure is the real key to altissimo. And overtone practice. Your definition of "melodic" is different to mine. I'm not trying to be a jazz musician. Not sure what you mean by "the grind" but thanks for respecting it whatever it is. I wasn't intending it to be enjoyable but the audience for this kind of thing isn't, I guess, someone like yourself. But here are people who like this kind of thing and go to gigs by players similar to myself. Your channel doesn't have any content, so I've no idea what kind of music you like to play, but keep playing it if it's what you believe in
@Davejkn my key mashing I refer to a new player just hitting keys to make sound, it doesn't sould melodic or clean. I can understand you're not going for a jazz sound which is what I love, but it does sound uncoordinated.
Dude,I’ve got to be honest this sounds awful!maybe ask for some help rather than mashing the keys. Get some lessons on RUclips for free I’m sure you’ll start getting the hang of it!
what the heck is "key mashing?" I've been playing for 25 years and I've never heard that term used in any of the textbooks or by any of the pro players I studied with. I've had plenty of help thank you and have learnt a lot about multiphonics and other extended techniques. I'm not trying to play jazz. Much as I respect Charlie Parker, Art Pepper, Johnny Hodges and all the rest of the greats that's not my music and it's not how I feel. So I've devoted what little life I have left to playing the way I want to rather than doing the same old stuff everyone else does. Feel free to not like it, I'm not playing to please you. The audience I do get seems to appreciate it and even if no one liked it that's no reason not to do what I believe in. Your channel doesn't have any content, so I've no idea if you can even play the sax, but if you do, keep playing from your heart.
Wheeeeeee!
Compulsively duetted with this. Much fun.
mmmm ... original
What
Fantastic! 👏👏👍👍
Two masters doing what they do best. Excellent !
Wow back here again. To the warm spot in the middle of my soul. 🙏🔥🙏
Niiiiice!
Nice!
Ah...1 min in and there's the faux Hession beat!
The other Ben freak-dancing and howling words is BEN MORAN HEALY from Barnsley, known to me through his involvement with the Psychedelic Bolsheviks, Plan C and the recent Anarchist Bookfair in Sheffield ...
i can't believe the comments of noneabove000 and videolover61 poor people know any about music
Thanks for posting this great music. I am a hugh fan of Henry Grimes.
high
pharaoh sanders soo cool great master
vow!
There were actually six simultaneous gigs in different towns that night - this one and Brighton and London and three others. Any chance we can see the whole of this one day?
i saw him in the Beacon Theatre (Manhattan) in 1974 -- fabulous show -- and he's still playing amazing stuff all these years later!
That's Giant Steps? I heard Pharoah play with McCoy Tyner a few years ago, and he just could not hang...I don't want to hear Giant Steps played like this. Please learn the song, and work the changes. Respect Trane and this beautiful song.
This makes me want to weep. But in a good way. Can't find the word i want for it. But i like it.
it's like Pascal is jazzing behind some railroad station in an alley...i Love it...come gig in the States...an important duo in the Future...
Trane is smiling somewhere, awesome.
Don't worry, I'm working on it... meanwhile, there's some mp3's at our website which I can't tell you the url of 'cos yuotube won't let me (so you'll have to search google for solar fire trio)
