Act Like A MAN: What Principles Do You Live By
Why have we abandoned the core principles of manhood? Join usas we dissect the historical and contemporary views on what it means to 'act like a man.' Drawing insight from Jack Donovan's provocative book 'The Way of Men' and the powerful scripture from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14, we challenge the prevailing societal norms that have diluted traditional masculine virtues. With a nod to theologian Abraham Kuyper, we underscore the urgent need for men to stand firm in their convictions and fight for what truly matters, even at the expense of personal peace.
In this episode, we break down the essential characteristics of strong, courageous men. Through Donovan's framework of strength, courage, mast...

Video games are irrelevant. same concept as netflix, hanging with friends/ family, or any other unproductive hobby. do what makes you happy as long as its not destructive. Lol why should anyone be working 50-60hrs a week? Some jobs call for it and I respect those that do but there's no need for anyone to work overtime in their 20s. Wasting the good years. Also, part time is like 25-35hrs (technically 39) not 40.

    • @fatherfocuspodcast
      @fatherfocuspodcast Месяц назад

      “The good years” are not when you’re free to party, sleep around and avoid responsibility. It’s time for a wake up call bro. Being a man who embraces responsibility, builds wealth for his future, becomes mature and able to lead a family - that’s the goal in your 20’s. Society’s that thrive have men who take the lead in building a better world for others, not just themselves.

      @@fatherfocuspodcast By good years I meant bodily health wise as an adult. You can still accomplish plenty without some break your back mindset of thinking you should work 60 hours a week in your 20s or even at all. If you're building a business yeah sure, but its completely unnecessary to bettering yourself otherwise generally. That 10-20hrs could be better spent exercising, learning, or making connections.

      We agree, people do need community. But also, most people need answers to existential questions: why am i here? am i more than a clump of biological matter? What is the meaning of life? Why do i long for purpose? These questions are answered best by a man named Jesus, who showed us the purpose of life and the way to live it. This is why we trust Jesus.

      @@josesbox9555 You're attempting to discredit our beliefs as merely environmental or familial influences. We disagree. Christianity is thriving in parts of the world where there is extreme hostility to the christians. It's growing in regions where it is not geographical promoted but suppressed. Why would these people willingly step into harms way for a convenient idea? Second, I know many people who have grown up in religious environments and have rejected those ideas and do not consider themselves christians. Clearly, environmental or family structures aren't the major factor in belief in christianity. Lastly, we personally know many christians who were former atheist, were hostile towards christian beliefs and lived in parts of the world where christianity was not widely accepted. Yes, there are cultural christians who identify as christians but don't live for Christ. That group is certainly due to geography and family. This kind of parenting style confuses me so much. You're actively showing your kid that they can't ever rely on you or come to you for help, and no one will care about their wellbeing. If even your own father watches them get hurt and forces you to rely on yourself in minor moments of hurt, why would they trust you (or anyone from that matter) to both care or be there for them in their darkest or hardest moments. You're teaching your child that they cannot rely on you, nor anyone else. That a hand will always be there to brush aside the help they could so easily get. It's not a matter of teaching your kid to be strong and to develop skills to prevent and deal with harm but teaching them that shouldn't ever bother asking for help because you will never give it. And they will reflect that in kind when you need them. You could so easily make sure the kid feels alright, and offer him a hand up, or go "Hey buddy, you, okay? Yup, alright you think you're alright enough to get up?" and the kid would just as easily learn that they can trust you, depend on you, and also take actions to make sure bounce back from hurt, as well as take time to assess themselves. This "Love" only pushes your child away from you. I've seen it plenty of times in people around me, and their parents wonder why they never come home, or offer to help them when they need it. Teach your kid that you will be there for them, and that you're someone they can come to when they need it. That you care for their condition, and that they'll still have to stand up on their own, but if they needed it, they could ask for your hand.

As if you were never lied to about evolution, dinosaurs, a million things in public school. Bold faced lies. Why does every country’s space photo have different continent proportions? Most pictures you see label themselves models, so it’s difficult to find “real” ones. But when you do - how come you can see stars in any other photo, but not one behind earth? So many more issues.
