One of the most beautiful scenes from anything, ever
Couldn’t agree more!
“Sometimes there is and sometimes there isn’t” as delivered here, is one of the best lines of dialogue I’ve ever heard. I think about it frequently
So true. I believe it speaks to how our minds can easily slip between fantasy and reality, reality and fantasy, and how at times it's hard to tell the difference. That was the line Tawney and Daniel walked, both with each other and in their independent lives, and it represents the human experience more broadly. Sometimes I think the hardest part about living is the dichotomy between fantasy and reality. We're capable of such beautiful dreams but it seems the more we learn about existence the harder it is to keep them, and it can be soul crushing. Hence Tawney's poignant and relatable, "You told me too much, Daniel. I was happy" ... "I'm lost, Daniel, and it's so lonely." Daniel was past that stage and was trying to guide Tawney through, just as Tawney tried to guide Daniel back to glory (his Beatrice), but instead of conflict there was complete synthesis. Such a gorgeous, fascinating dynamic.
Yes, an amazing line.
“Sometimes there is, and sometimes there isn’t” the most beautifully simplistic, remarkably complex line I’ve ever heard.
She is absolutely a beautiful soul! Her eyes give it away…
Alguien me puede decir cómo puede ver esta serie?
Tawney is what a real Christian is and should be. Great writing ...great characters...
Tawney Is the best person who has faith that I have seen in a tv show
can somone share these dilouges in writining plz
I think they have episode transcripts released online for the deaf if you're willing to look it up. I know they exist because I needed clarity on a line once that closed-captioning couldn't get right and I couldn't hear the mumbling properly.
so disappointed for that kiss that never happened. Tawny was the soul savior for Daniel and the writers never allowed that to fluorish. Chloe cannot compare to this saint, this Tawny, thing of beauty.
Yes....I feel the same way. But I understand why Ray McKinnon never had them truly get together. It feels like she can save him, and he can save her too. But really they have to save themselves. And they do. But, yeah, it's hard to see him with Chloe, that's for sure.
This is the most touching scene i have ever seen. Unbelievably beautiful.
Best show I’ve ever scene. It surpasses Breaking Bad, Sopranos, The Wire, Fargo. It’s unparalleled.
It is truly great isn't it. But you also compare them to shows that do not believe in the power of love. Dark, cynical stories. Rectify has an incredible amount of darkness of course. But the story is about how the light gets in.
@@nspector very true. Kinda a dumb comparison by me. Those are all my favorite shows lol. But yeah, they aren’t about love at all lol
@@nspector 'The story is about how the light gets in.' -love that so much💙
was Daniel a prophet...?....a messenger..?
The chemistry between those two is simply stunning.
I would have loved to see them together in the last episode...not on the phone..big let down for me
The big, big let down was that they ONLY shared this scene in the last two seasons.
May have been seen as being too predictable?
I waited the whole forth season .. I really thought they'd end up together .. The phone call was disappointing .. I thought they had more chemistry than Daniel and Chloe
I liked tawny and Daniel together . the writers should've made them the end game.
Fully agree. Although I still love the show, the last season was totally beside the point.
J.Ignacio Perez agreed. I thought him and tawny should've ended up together considering the fact that she was crazy about Daniel and her and ted Jr ended up in divorced because he was jealous of her relationship with Daniel and Danny was crazy about her to. The new girl to me just didn't go with his personality . She was a good friend but that's all . The ending would've made more sense if him and tawny had been together in that dream or ended up together in real life. I think the writers kind of messed up on the ending . But im glad the show ended on a high note .
Kristi Bradford yes the writers erred there
Kristi Bradford agreeed. The chemistry between Chloe and Daniel wasn’t the same as tawney and Daniel. She was free in the end and Daniel was also going home so a more satisfying ending would’ve been tawney and Daniel ending up together and ted jr being ok with it
Fucking Beautiful.
What's the background music?
Love this show
Damn, I love this show--so sorry to see it coming to an end, but all good things... Thank you for posting--this is one of my favorite scenes--absolutely, ridiculously beautiful.
This show is just ridiculously good.
Thank you for posting this beautiful scene that made me cry because I want Tawny and Daniel to be together. I was surprised that it was her dream.
I cried too. This show is amazing.
Thank you for uploading this!!
Welcome!
Academy award worthy show
Very underrated show.
Thank you for posting this. The characters "Daniel and Tawney" have amazing on screen chemistry and sadly they could never be together. This is definitely a show more folks need to watch, the acting, directing, and the writing etc. in one word genius!
The subtle chemistry between these two is frankly unmatched by any other couple ever on television.
Where to begin with this show? I was hooked from the beginning. The stunning cinematography and background music perfectly set the deliberate and fascinating narrative. Every shot is carefully crafted; beautiful. The lighting, the poetic dialogue, the execution. 'Rectify' just enters your life and refuses to leave. Then there's the South. Something about open pastures, sprawling fields, big shady trees, and isolation of open roads - all of it lends flawlessly to the show's mood. (Goes to show you don't need a multi-million dollar budget and big box office production to create something so powerful and beautiful.) Lastly, Aden Young is turning in a performance for the ages. Season three premieres July 9, 2015 on SundanceTV.
Ed A. Kirby Yes to all that you say.
