I mean if it's not terribly cold out then I agree, moving around a lot is more fun but if it's freezing cold then I'd be sitting in a shanty too.. it's not fun to be freezing your ass off outside in the cold

Any bait shop near the lake. There's one in algonac for the north end of lake called Master bait. Also one right by Selfridge launch called angler's point they all have minnows

He hit that swim dog hard. Great fight. Cant get a good measurement with the yak but another good fish.

He hooked himself on the back, swipeing at it. He was in plain sight with my glasses on. It's hard to see with that cam, but if you look for it, you can barely see him swim toward it after my bait hit the water

Those fish are moving in and out of the spillway. It's possible, I assume, but highly unlikely on the same day.

I have never fished from shore on the River but the Spillway (the mouth all the way up to the damn), Harley Ensign, Metro's point and at the mouth of the Black Creek are my go to's. I know guys that catch them in SCS at those parks too.

Harrison Township area. Make sure you check out one of the best spots just to the west of the Jefferson bridge where you see all the baits hanging on the wires.

had a great time, fishing with friends, along with a great lunch. Those golden gills are so good!

the shallow dive s/d and the Poseidon work very well on the main water in the summer. the walleye Poseidon one morning had 4 follows and one on the boat by 8am out in 15 ft of water.

@@MCYakFishing Me too. I grew up at 16 and Harper. Fished the area a lot when I was a kid. I caught steelhead out of the spillway. I saw someone catch a king salmon one time.

@@wantsome-zs5sq good stuff. I witnessed 2 nice steelhead caught out of there and a few tiger muskies. One time a steely surfaced right in front of me chasing bait. Bad to the bone.
