All Blacks vs British & Irish Lions 1977 (3rd Test)
Просмотров 78 тыс.14 лет назад
Having lost the second Test to the Lions, the All Blacks needed to win this game if they were to erase the memories of 1971. The last series win for the All Blacks was back in 1966 when they beat the Lions four games to none.

After scraping home in the first Test 18 - 16 (thanks to six penalties from Kieran Crowley), the All Blacks were after a convincing win having not scored a single try the week before, yet conceding two to the English.
Thank you very much for sharing this. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it 🏉
Some havecsaid Haden was soft..not bad for a joker at the heart of the All Black pack vs 77 Lions...78 grand slam tour and then leading from the front against the 81 Boks..not bad for so called "softie"...RIP bruh.
Great start to the test..went in wanting to speed the game up.
Steve Fenwick , a club player
Tat was a good English team
I miss Quade Cooper so much !! He was such a genious. And his fights with Richie McCaw are epic too.😅
0:25 I can't believe Andy Irvine's mum made him get a haircut like that...
10 years old at the southern end stand, freezing cold, was a great game!
Grant "Nisbo" Nisbett only his 2nd year as a commentator in 1985 and he's still going strong at the 2023 world cup.
The state of the pitch OMG. !!!
Kieran Crowley John Kirwan and Green ..ahah it's a joke? fantastic team!!
RIP Bruce. Greatest . Sad day
Sad to hear the passing of Bruce Roberston such a great rugby player one of the best All Black centres ever.condolences to his Whanau.
like you i came here to look at highlights of the great man!
This was probably the best test for the ABs in the series . They were a bit lucky in the first and last to win those games. I think this was Mourie's debut if memory serves.
Think it was his debut..also new half back Lyn Davis replacing the great Super Sid.
Mourie the great link man.
The AB backline really won this test for the ABs with Bruce Robertson playing brilliantly. That Lions pack with Price, Cotton, and Brown were superb but their back line never took advantage of the amount of possession they got.
Grant Batty (Batts) last game for the AB's. He had lost a lot of pace through a serious knee injury the year previously, but he made it to goal line for the winning try with Prop Graham Price nearly catching him!
Jesus hall Still Had hair!! Cowboy Shaw was a bit of a prick!
Great all black team, and very white thank god
There’s only one thing worse than a misogynistic one eyed Kiwi and that’s more than one
What..the eye or the kiwi???!!!!
That's why you'll always be lower then King Richie coops....dog acts and cheap shots.
There were 3 cocks on the field that day, Pocock, Woodcock and Quaid Cooper!!😂
Just the year before we’d gone to SA without a decent goal kicker. Not one. This is also the series when we used a 3 man front row at times. My 1st XV coach had us do the same on occasion. 😂 Shocking weather for the whole tour. 😂
After Joe Karam defected to league NZ went through lots of kickers including Syd Going.
I met him yesterday the pleasure was all mine
There was only one thing worse than England in the 70s and that was England in the 80s.
2021 becomes wallabies legend
My step grandad there sheesh
Quade well down teaching that muppet a lesson
Quade Cooper - Still a dick in 2021, let's see him follow through next week against SA.
I never witnessed bruce roberston play. one of the only measurements i think you can use for comparing modern day players vs players of yesteryear is their impact on the game and it appears to me that bruce robertsons impact is very combarable to your dan carter beaudene barretts, christian cullens. that is how much impact do they have on the performance or outcome of a match. This game is an example of that. Bruce Robertson… Legend!
Bearing in mind Ritchie tackled Quade who didn't even have the ball. Plus I'm totally amazed at how Kiwis could defend the biggest cheat in world rugby.
Good highlights
Craig Green!
Yo fuck Quade
This Ref was fkn awful!!
Crap referee!
Woooooooo .....nobody touches the grub.
Grant Batty after his playing career ended lived in Chepstow, South Wales.
The Lions would have had a better chance of winning this series if Terry Cobner had captained the side. Phil Bennett was out of sorts, homesick and frankly didn’t want to be there. The Lions has their greatest ever pack of forwards, however, they didn’t put it together behind the scrum.
Really enjoying watching these games in lockdown. I was only 4 years old in 77. So this is all new to me. Such a shame JPR, Gerald, & Gareth didn’t tour. It would have been ever better. !!
That pass for the first Kirwin try was a MILE forward
This lockdown is giving me a great opportunity to look back and boy I'm i enjoying it
Fiji would eat AllBlacks in 2020
That's, hands down, the best Haka of all right there
IT WAS PAL DODGE's last international game, and I vividly remember the last image of Paul with a black jersey upon his shoulders at the end of the game, looking dejected, but embracing opposite players with great dignity... A TRUE RUGBY HERO, I was a massive fan of him, in victory and in defeat, a real 20th century gentleman..
Brad Thorn is such a big ASSHOLE!!
New Zealand is the beeeeessssttttt
Quade Cooper, the perfect tonic for Melancholy.
Miss these days when every pass was q forward pass and nobody care
And minuscule knock on's
Cooper the coward he really sucks these days in the rebels i remember their last game was crap
The first test was actually 18-13 to the All Blacks and NOT 18-16
