Physician Assistant, MD, or NP? Why I chose to be a PA
Pretty
not even a full video 😢
I'm glad I saw this AFTER I had both knees replaced. 😮
The patient looks dumb bc they don't know what "cabbage" (CABG) is? All medical professionals need to work on their bedside care and in-person skills. It's called proper communication with your patients. They didn't go to medical school.
Last year, I suffered from terrible bad breath and acid reflux disease, I used everything possible to clean my mouth like toothpaste 4 times a day, different mouthwashes but still I continued. until I found Dr. Emovon on RUclips who helped me get rid of my bad breath and acid reflux disease completely with his herbal medicine that he gave me…👏👏👏
Love how the PA just makes faces. I know many people who do this and put onions on their feet. It definitely vsrems to work for head colds. The PA needs to stop being so arrogant and obnoxious.
I follow evidence based medicine. Show me the data that this works and I’ll change my mind. But saying that this works because you “know many people who do this” is not good enough for me bb
how does it feel. to live my dream 😠.
True first comment can I get a pin?
Hi I will be done with my bsc.Physician assistantship studies next year And I don’t want to go to medical school What can I do next
I have gerd im 36 diabetic cholesterol help me
Mam for bsc physician assistant which country is best
The power pose got me rolling-
Just become a CRNA. My wife loves her job. It is easy to become one, extremely rewarding and pays well. NY $310k
That starting scene was like "ummm actually 🤓☝🏻"
You can surely take my bp anytime not just because your attractive and cute female nurses turns me on! Oooop: my secret. Names sam I love your curly hair btw
Great advise, great face ❤
Agreed! Only medical professionals should use the term 'Doctor.' My grandpa got his PhD in physics, but never used that title with his name, which makes me respect him even more, because he's humble and down to earth, unlike a lot of the people that insist on being called by Doctor. It's like me insisting people called me by master, because I got my masters degree. But to insist on being called Doctor all the time, especially for people that aren't even real doctors, comes off as ridiculous and self-aggrandizing.
I'm assuming this is for a new PA?
These were the average salaries when I made this video 3 years ago 😳
What’s the best way to reach out and chat with you about your podcast? I’m a Pre-PA in NYC.
From Arkansas living in Virginia again and I've been thinking about becoming a PA for awhile now
Yay! I'm going to PA school in Virginia *cries inside
I was diagnosed with a full thickness labral tear moderate to severe gluteus medius minimus tendinosis moderate to severe bursitis my question is can complete tears heal by its self my pain doctor said it’s the worse he’s seen the ortho said there is nothing he can do all tears heal on there own
These tears do not heal on their own. The tendons can scar down, but they won't heal like they were before the tears. These are very common tears, but a lot of times they are not worth operating on even though they can't heal on their own. You can seek the opinion of another orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hips.
You can say whatever you want to believe. If you know how to read, introduce yourself and your title. It's not confusion. It's simple as threat to MD job thinking they will lose money to NP.
Yes and no. Yes I think MDs are threatened and this whole “scope creep” thing is kind of ridiculous, but it’s still confusing to patients. Trust me. I’ve seen in many times in different settings. It’s confusing.
K but what about the amounts?
Gonna do an episode on all of this on my podcast: So You Want to Work in Healthcare
I was just prescribed this as a pre treatment for a deviated septum. My doctor actually showed me how to use it.
Hi there. I'm starting PA school soon and was wondering if you would recommend reading any materials before starting? Should I brush up on Anatomy or Pharm so that way studying is a little easier?
Just relax and have fun and SLEEP! Because you won’t be doing any of that for two years haha. And im being totally serious. You will have so much to study in PA school I truly don’t recommend studying much before then.
Ur d one confused. MD does not own the word doctor solely in hospitals setting. There are Psychologist and other expert doctors in their own fields that also earn doctor degree such as dentist, DNP even Chriropractor. Etc. Go back to school.
It’s misleading to call yourself a doctor in a hospital or clinical setting without explaining what your title means. It happens all the time and patients are misled. Also, dentists are doctors - they treat patients in a clinical setting. Chiropractors are usually in their own setting- patients aren’t usually going to a chiropractor thinking they are seeing a spine surgeon. But I’m sure it happens. As a PA, if I had my doctorate, there is NO WAY I’m walking into a patient’s room saying “I’m Dr. Leigha”. And if you were that patient or your family member was that patient, you wouldn’t want that either. You’d want me to explain that I’m a PA, but with a doctorate. Otherwise you assume I went to med school and residency and have experience that I don’t actually have.
PA school is crazy so much egolistic crazy personality, and the materials is not hard at all. People should be careful out there.
lol this could not be more false. Be careful! You might end up with the number 2 job in the country and help people and make good money! Haha
is not eating because u didnt or cause you cant. I have a strict protein diet to keep me healthy and on my goal. Whats going on?
Allergies aren't exclusively defined by whether you have anaphylaxis or not....
True
bruh girl cant handle critic xD
Me too 😅
Don't be ashamed - these people know what they're doing and spend a lot of time an effort to manipulate people into working for them. I narrowly avoided one myself when I was a broke student. Great to make content raising awareness though - people need to know it's not shameful to fall victim to a scam, because the silence that shame causes is exactly what gives predatory companies like this an upper hand.
its shameful which is good since it helps you to not falling for such scams again... its shameful in 90% of these pyramid schemes because they besaically advert their programm with things like "make 5k each month with just 10 hours of work!!!!" which are claims that every adult should know arent true - atleast with as a steady income - of course you can make that kind of money with trading (be it stocks or something different...) but it isnt steady and of course isnt safe. 6 figures for 10 hr per work are so astronomicaly inpossible that tbh yes it is shameful to fall for it if someone would be saying "earn 500€/$ each week with 5 hours work" this would be something i could kinda understand if people fall for it i mean a hourly waage of 100$ is still not possible without any work exerperience, educations (studying) or the right field but it is something believable - no on the other hand 6 figured for 10 hrs work not soo much...
So true! It really is predatory. And even when you’re in it you don’t realize how predatory you’re being. At least I didn’t. But looking back I want to just apologize to everyone haha
@@helloimthepa I totally see where that guilt is coming from but to an extent you have no choice often. You get into debt and you're told the way out if it is to just work harder. If you're not earning money it must be your fault right? Only they don't tell you upfront how much the average person ACTUALLY makes, only what you ~could~ be making. They frame it is a personal failure if you don't profit. Sure, you have your personal choices to contend with and take resoonsibilty for, absolutely. But those choices and highly constrained by the circumstances they put you in - that's the predatory bit, because these people know all this in advance, unlike the people they rope in
After spraying Flonase, don't forget to load up on tissues since it often doesn't do crap.

Hi, I have a question about the role of an orthopedic surgery PA. Since you don't preform the actual surgery (from my understanding), what do you do while in the OR?
Hi! Great question. We are the first-assist, which means we are next to the surgeon helping with the surgery. We mainly retract, suction, and close the incisions. Sometimes we perform parts of the surgery if the surgeon needs us to.
My ana , anti ds dna, crp, protein in urin are normal.no butterfly rashesh, but i have animea,my hb is 10.66 and esr is 33,my age 18. I f****** hate wearing space SIUTS ...i cant hear shit and i cant breathe AT ALL. Been doing it all for about seven years ...but i would trade it all to back be an ironworker if i didnt get hurt.😢 ..... I f****** hate not having a physically deamnding job .... The patient coded three times because she had SERIOUS ARTERIAL DISEASE.... BUT OF COURSE THE DOCTOR WANTS TO DO THE SURGERY ANYWAY TO MAKE HIS F****** BANK ON A 90ISH Y/O PERSON THAT WALKED INTO HIS CLINIC AND SAID "MY MY BACK HURTS" with a destroyed f******femur couples with her medical condition so of course we had to do it the night b4 turkey day. On top of it where there are three nurses and techs that can set up the surgery while I was in an exploratory laparotomy but didn't want to do it because they know I was the only one till stay overnight till 7:00 a.m. so this is why I hate I hate hate hate hate hate hate being a f****** surgical tech in the OR...cuz it takes away from being time with my kids and my family ..... ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE ON CALL CUZ I'M READY TO PUT SOMEBODY THROUGH A F****** CONCRETE WALL WHEN I'M IN A MISERABLE OVER TIRED MOOD
I'm sorry but the whole medical industry is a joke right now... It used to be prescriptions but now it's surgeries... IVE WORKED WITH SURGEONS THAT CAND DO APPENDECTOMIES AND LAPAROSCOPIC CHOELSESTECTOMIES IN 25 TO 35 MINUTES ... BUT THE PLACE I WORK AT NOW.... The "TRAUMA" surgeon takes 4 to 5 hours.... It's totally f******disgusting and the jokes stay away from.... I would not let remove stick from my "unalived" pet..... ( For you **ber l a dead animal)
Why is she dancing ?
Shoot, I forgot the no dancing laws!

oh my god I would cry if my interviewers ask me such questions, especially if it’s something that I can’t control like hives 😫
I almost did die 😅😅
Incorrect- someone will be helping you with this
Not if you’re the first person scrubbing in. And in many places everyone gowns and gloves themselves
med student here scrub techs always gown themselves all others are then helped by the scrub tech (not counting if the scrub techs are switching shifts then they get helped by the prev scrub tech lolll) she’s correct 👍🏽
The hospital I used to work in the RN was always there to help when you scrubbed in. Thank God cause this makes me uneasy. You could easily contaminate yourself.
So good you can put your makeup on I don't even want to do that anymore uuugh. Great with with the video
Idk why people are upset about student loan forgiveness but not PPE loans. When PSLF was created, many people entered certain programs of study expecting to not have to pay back student loans. Some of them were willing to take nonprofits and public service jobs in underserved communities. Schools were promoting PSLF. Then, DOE screwed people with the fine print and they needed to fix it. Congratulations!!!!
Great point! I wonder how many haters took PPE loans themselves 😂 thank you!!
