Spring River Arkansas

Kayaking down Spring river this summer with our Brooklyn Kayaks. Awesome place to relax and have some fun on some rope swings as well as tree jumping, swimming, and fishing!
Bout to try and get a 1653 dbst you think could run a gator tail or is it a strictly outboard boat
It would be fine to run gator tail on it. There are better boat options for mud motors but if you really like the dbst I would go for it. If you look at my other boat video that boat was a dbst and it does just fine.
Ok preciate it just waitin to get approved by the bank now im cool with outboard but these rivers round here in southwest tennessee get low and logged up til bout janurary
@@TimberMadMan Best of luck to you sounds like you got it figured out!
Who painted yall outboards im suppose to be pickin up a dbst next week from mississippi and tryin to get the outboard painted
Mighty White Marine they do great job on painting but customer service isn't the best.@@TimberMadMan
Is that the dbst or mtsc
dbst
Bro i hunt that blind and field off the ditch
Thats crazy lol
That looks like st francis river levee.
It might be lol
How deep of water would you take this in?
I don't like to go less than a foot
Any troubles getting it on plane with that load?
nope
What's the Storage length from end of prop to tip of trailer? Also the width from tire to tire on the trailer?
I am sorry but it was buddy's boat not sure.
Cool boat launch what state is that
thanks Arkansas
This is near Mammoth Spring, isn't it?
yessir it is
What models are you running? Curious if you have one with inverted keels.
Its a 2018 dbst havoc 16/53
@@WillCamp4 ok cool, looks the have the same bottom as an MST. When you turn at speed, does it grip pretty good or do you slide alittle? Does it handle ok in open water going across a lake?
@@DallasGT It grips really good idk if I've ever slid even wide open. It handles great in any condition as long as the water is calm. If the water is choppy you may bounce some but that is typical for any boat.
What about a 16/56 with a 30? How well will it push it?
@@bradboswell8863 Man that's a good question. My guess would be around 20-25Mph but don't take me up on it lol.
what size motor, boat, and prop? I have a 15/53 with a 50 tahatsu and a 15p prop and can only get 36
its a 16/53 with 50 tohatsu and a 15 pitch best I've had it is 39 but typically runs around 36
I’m leaning towards havoc over the war eagle. I am interested in a 1550 or 1553. I already have a SeaArk Vcat 20’ (big boat for me). I want something really small for the wooded areas, and as much as I like mud boats I have decided against that. I won’t be doing too much stump jumping. If I go with the 15’ havoc do you think a 40 or 50 hp would be the ticket? I’m not trying. Also, I am looking at the DBST and RDBST. Kinda leaning towards the DBST. Your thoughts, which one do you have ? Thanks for listening to all my questions
More than likely I would go with a 25 on a 15 ft boat but If you need the extra kick I think a 40 is the biggest I would go. Also I would go dbst in a 15/50 but only if you want a tiny boat that will go places. My brother has a 15/50 havoc with a 25 and it will almost keep up with my 16/53 with a 50. A 15/50 would be nice to get you places but it also is small if you want to use it to fish or do any recreational activities with it. I would seriously consider a 25 on a 15/50 though it is a good combination.
@@WillCamp4 thanks for the reply
Thinking about getting a 17 foot havoc with a 60hp how fast you think thatll go
43
Why don't you use mud motors on them?
to much money right now maybe one day
Sweet video/set up
thank you
What kinda kick plate do you have on this boat?
a vance I don't remember which model however
How do u like the kick plate I got one on mine but haven’t tested it out yet I have a 1550 with a 2021 tohatsu 20
@@lukeraymond4030is the 1550 sturdy?
@@FAFO_24 yeah very
What kinda speed you gettin?
He got up to 30 I’m pretty sure
@@WillCamp4 my draub green 16' Aluma Craft Jon Boat with a new 15hp Honda with a performance prop can get 24mph with 2 people. With 4 big people like 15mph. Of course my boat ain't jack shit compared to a Havok. One small bump on a rock or log could puncture it. Also my Aluma Craft boat had 4 loose rivets in the mid bench trunk which I later noticed after i bought it. The dealer honored the warranty but couldn't re-rivet due to the aluminum not thick enough .. they just hammered the rivets and put on silicon an it still leaked a little a few months later..I'll add more silicone later. I'm not saying they're a bad company because the boat is real fast and it was quite affordable but I definitely was a little disappointed. Still love the boat tho even though it's no where near as awesome as those Havok rigs! and just make sure if you buy from Aluma Craft you inspect the rivets especially the long ones
@@nd6286 That sounds like a pretty cool boat even though you had some rivets mess up on you I hope you solve the problem completely and enjoy it for time to come!
Needa trim up
He sure does lol
Whats the size of your boat?
16/53
