    A very important thing for most people who return to India, is to do a little study about investments in the Indian Stock Market. I know it’s a risk, but our stock market is one of the finest in the world. The entire system is well organised and safe for investors to make a good amount of money. It’s a risk worth taking. For safety, invest your money in mutual funds. Do not depend on advisors. Use websites like ETmoney or mutual funds Sahi hai. You have a choice of deciding between Equity, Hybrid and Debt funds. Equity carries a higher risk, but the average earnings per annum is between 20-60%, Hybrid lesser risk than equity but earnings could be between 15-30%, Debt is like keeping your money in FD where earnings are between 6-12%. And of course FD, which is between 6-8%. Ensure that you make FDs in big banks or post office only. Government bonds are another good option, giving you returns between 7-11%, with returns payable on monthly, quarterly or yearly. While transferring all your money, ensure that you divide your money between you and your wife so that tax implications don’t cause you a headache in future. Not everyone makes a lot of money abroad, but for whatever you have saved, India gives a good chance of survival, provided you use your money judiciously. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat 🇮🇳 ❤

    Hi sir thank you very much . That was so informative. Just wondering if you paid customs for any clothing or shoes . I have around 60 pairs of shoes mostly all used and a lot of clothes, household items small electronics etc. I also have led strip lights etc can I ship everything or do you recommend to carry all electronics ? I am also curious if the shoes and clothes would be construed as otherwise. PS I am moving from Australia to India Bangalore specifically

      @@no-oneknows9236 Yes, we are looking mainly in the north Bangalore area. We found HDFC school, millennium world school and new horizon international school. All 3 allow Kannada exemption. Then some schools which are new like NPS north, say they start kannada from basics even for 8th std because many out of state kids come. So that is also an option. Overall, we have good options in the less than 3L per annum fees range. In north Bangalore I am hoping rents are lower. I don't want to spend more than 35K on rent.

    ### The Complex Narrative of Desis Returning to India: A Critical Analysis In recent times, various podcasters and commentators have been exploring the trend of Desis returning to India from the USA, Canada, and European countries. However, a crucial aspect often missing from these discussions is the status of the individuals' citizenship. Specifically, do they hold a passport from these countries, and have they voluntarily surrendered their citizenship to return to India? The answers to these questions could significantly influence the credibility and relevance of their narratives. #### The Significance of Citizenship The possession of a passport from a Western country indicates access to a host of benefits, including quality healthcare, education, social services, and retirement packages. When individuals choose to return to India, especially if they hold citizenship from these nations, they are making a pronounced statement. It raises important questions about their motivations: 1. **Understanding Motivation**: If a person is returning to India while still holding onto their foreign passport, it suggests a more complicated relationship with their homeland. Their stories may not reflect the typical immigrant experience; instead, they might highlight a desire for new opportunities or a temporary retreat rather than a complete commitment to India's future. 2. **The Implications of Surrendering Citizenship**: Surrendering a foreign passport means relinquishing significant benefits. Individuals lose access to retirement plans, medical benefits, and social security that they might have earned while living abroad. This act should not be taken lightly, as it suggests a deep commitment to returning to Indian society. It invites the question: Are they willing to sacrifice these benefits to truly reconnect with their roots? 3. **Quality of Life Considerations**: Quality of life is another vital factor. Countries like the USA, Canada, and those in the EU offer advantages, including better healthcare systems, more robust social security, and a higher standard of living. For those who choose to return to India, this decision often requires serious contemplation about whether the sacrifices-in terms of benefits and quality of life-are worth it. #### A Call for Nuanced Conversations Podcasters should aim to create more nuanced discussions around this topic. By probing into citizenship status and the implications of returning, they could enrich the conversation, moving beyond simplistic labels of "winners" and "losers." Engaging with these complex questions can reveal the thoughtful, sometimes painful, considerations behind such life-changing decisions. #### Conclusion In conclusion, the narrative surrounding Desis returning to India is multifaceted and deserving of deeper exploration. Understanding whether these individuals hold foreign citizenship and what they are sacrificing by returning can significantly enhance our perceptions. True stories of returnees are best comprehended when we consider their motivations, the potential loss of benefits, and the quality of life they leave behind. As discussions on this topic continue to unfold, incorporating these critical elements will lead to a more comprehensive and meaningful dialogue.

    thank you for this video. Very detailed and talks about a lot of things that are in NRIs mind while moving to India. One question for you sir - we are planning for a move next year - our kid will be in 7th grade and we are strongly considering CBSE, how can the kid pick up on 3rd language especially if the expectations are to write essays or something? we certainly don't plan to put pressure but just thinking how our kid can get through? Would appreciate your inputs to help us with this dilemma?

    • @no-oneknows9236
      @no-oneknows9236 Месяц назад

      @@Huckfinn2020 Thanks for your comment. Most of the schools understand that 2nd and 3rd languages are difficult to pick up for kids returning to India and they do support. We got extra help from private tutor as well. We are also ok kids scoring less marks in 2nd and 3rd languages, even passing is ok. 3rd language Kannada is there till 8th grade in Bangalore. Hindi as second language we are trying to focus on as it will be there till 12th. Our kids did know hind speaking but not writing, They still struggle but doing ok. Please don’t worry too much about languages just plan to support kids as much possible and they will be fine.

    A major factor that everyone need to consider is the pollution in India. Air, Water and Soil, everything is highly polluted and no one is concerned about it currently. If you have kids, it's something you should seriously consider. School going kids are dealing with lung damage in major cities which sadly is permanent.

    As an Indian born American, I also have a desire to go back to India after couple of years after finishing the college. Every time I visit India, I also have the feeling of not wanting to come back to US, and feel more comfortable and at home in India, even though I lived all my life in US. It’s easier to go to India as I adjust immediately after landing, but coming back to US is very difficult emotionally, as I feel sad and emotional every time, and it takes me like a few weeks to a month to get used to US again. US is great country for education and job opportunities, but India is great country for family, culture, and overall social life.
