I take my Segway mini to the beach for the first time. It works very well and changes everything four a disabled individuals and family like myself. I’m sure we all know someone who needs to get back to the beach and could be inspired by this innovation.

Thanks man that’s one of the aspects I find enjoyably is trying to figure out work arounds for problems and often means creating something to do the task of my other hand and then that really expands my way of thinking about the challenge all together creating more ideas of how to solve. It makes being so challenged feel like a blessing most of the time, I see things differently.

Christian Day thanks buddy this one was for me. Maybe.. I’m working on a website to sell stuff I make, gonna make this the Onehandimaker brand. To encourage and help others learn to create/make stuff in any media/format they find interesting. No matter the obstacle or handicap. If people asked me to I’d make some pretty marking knives. But hopefully I’ll be able to continue creating whatever is interesting to me and use the website to share what I make and my story.

final photos look great! did you laser the logo on?

Steve Ritter thanks, yes I used a gf to make the logo and then glued that on. I wanted to engrave the stave before glueing but just couldn’t figure out how to make it look right after shaping so this was my solution but I have some ideas to get it on the stave itself for the next try.

Hell yeah, man. I like how that turned out. I have made a few marking knives myself, but I always go for the bare steel kiridashi style. The wood scales came out looking really nice. I have no idea what kind of wood you went with, the pictures weren't close up enough but it looks like curly maple and walnut from here.

Curiosity Forge It’s a piece of Clario walnut with Purple Heart pins and ebony bolster I guess you might call it.. it was just small scraps of wood I had in a bin that I couldn’t throw away and an old planer blade I couldn’t find my marking knife for the next project this is what I came up with and thought I’d video it it works well and looks kind of cool and I made it from scraps. That’s part I think is the coolest, something useful from scraps.
