Bold Takes and Bad Tempers ( Ep. 10) A Fiery Farewell (For Now)
Hello, everyone, and thank you for tuning in to the end of this first season of Bold Takes and Bad Tempers.
As stated in the video, I am taking a short hiatus from the podcast to concentrate on making different long-form content. Don't worry, there will be no hiatus of other content and more is to come.
Thank you all for the support you have shown through the series; it means the world to me. If you ever encounter a sticky situation and want to write in for future episodes, email BoldTakes@outlook.com.
Okay see you in the next video bye bye luh u

Random Adventure Review | Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen

*light spoilers* A surface level review of Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen. I shot this in vertical because rumor has it that Shorts can be 3 minutes now but you have to upload them like a normal RUclips video? I don't know, I had a lot of fun making this and I might just be making it a longer series. Also the wheel spun super slow because I recorded it in 60 frames so uh my b #dnd #dnd...
Bold Takes and Bad Tempers ( Ep. 9) Dealing With Resurrection

Zach ponders the lack of atmosphere in DND campaigns, players that want their characters to play the game for them, and why CR is a psyop. Make sure to send all questions to BoldTakes@Outlook.com!
Bold Takes and Bad Tempers ( Ep. 8) Clunky Combat

In this episode Zach gives advice on how to make combat better without adding a million homebrew rules, character betrayal, and the BG3 effect. Thank you everyone for the support and send your questions to BoldTakes@Outlook.com
Bold Takes and Bad Tempers (Ep. 7) Give Us A New Class

Zach dives deep into his frustrations with power gamers, the chaos of missing players, and the challenges of dealing with characters whose motivations clash. Recorded this one at night with the most unappealing lighting but it just emphasizes my very awesome heightened emotions. Also I got closer to the camera (intentionally) to further immersion. Thank you everyone for the support! Please send...

i wish the cast of stranger things were real D&D nerds (they never played before) so they could go full henry cavill and make the monsters representations be closer to what they actually are, cause man that show was not even remotely close, as much as i love it, and i get that its just the kids using name association from their game and they arent really meant to be the D&D monsters, i just would have liked it better
What is the music used here?
Magic Item: "Alternative Force IV"
Now, I’ve had this done to me without being frozen in time. That’s frustrating, because there isn’t main characters and other characters would absolutely involve themselves in the conflict.
let's see... 158 sessions assuming 1 session a week, 52 weeks a year, that's just over 3 years of buildup...
Good for you zach! Looking forward to fire shorts🔥
Nope, sorry, learning via Commander is not MTG. Play 1v1 constructed formats with a sideboard, methodical play and not everything being kicked into overdrive. That's MTG. Commander is a fun immitation of the game but it's just that and it's usually ruined by tryhards that can't even rule 0 their decks properly because they can't even play when they lose their OP staples.
Costs 200 gold per cast (don’t worry there’s ways around it like conjugation wizard and creation bard) and it cannot be moved 5 ft from where it was cast without fizzling out. There is a loophole that if you cast it within a extra planar space that the space becomes the origin and so as long as you don’t move the book 5 ft from the bag of holding or whatever you’re using it’ll stay armed
My first character death was actually from a system my dad made that's like a cross between mad Max and post apocalypse Terminator. He was a cyborg that infiltrated a lab that was growing building power armor for generically enhanced humans. He got spotted planting explosives on a support so a huge gun fight broke out that was just my guy against 8 of these enhanced humans. I take down 3 of them but get my leg blown off with a grenade. I see i have no way out so I use my one leg to leap at the rest of them and detonate my core. The entire building erupts. This is the cut down version of it but man i remember it like it was yesterday
Seeing as the base isn't completely evaporated, the book is completely safe for anyone to open. The glyph breaks without triggering if you move the object it's attached to more than 10ft from the where you were when you cast the spell.
i felt “HES A LICH HE DOESNT HAVE LIPS TO KISS” in my very soul
anyone know what the song is? its catchy
The immovable rod rips very small hole through the dragon, it just seems more upset now
Rule of Cool yes... but Glyph of Warding deactivates if moved more than 10ft :(
Unfortunately the player is right. A low wisdom player rolling low wouldn't catch a king lying to them. If a high intelligence player rolled to see it they knew what a king would do with some weapon like this, they might not get the whole plot. They might get a hint. The DM is bonkers out of his mind.
this was amazing lmao
"did you name him michael" "thats... thats not a dnd reference" "ah, right. my mistake- did you say dnd?"
I hear these names and the ptsd just takes over
deffinition of: "SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-"
some of these videos make you look like the worst DM ever
What's the background song?
Song is a bop, rip Charles Bradley
If only we could remove the diplomacy from MTG, and replace it with begging your opponents to not kill you first.
Didn't he do a sneak check to steal it though or was that only for getting there?
Bag of holding? I would certainly hope so. Aren't they supposed to hold things?
this is the kind of dm I'm looking for, a role model and a relatable man
I mean I can't relate to his style of dming, but I relate hard to the energy and passion
I don’t get it
EXPLOSIOOOOOOOOON
Hey y'all, I know there was a bit of getting into the weeds of RAW/RAI. In the spell description, yes it says if it moves more than ten feet then its dispelled to no effect. If you keep reading the description, the trigger can be modified. The spell is worded in a way to allow for shenanigans. I support a limited amount of shenanigans. For example, I think the edge of a page is like a corner. So, yes, each detonation could reach the other side of the page. The limitation of shenanigans I foresee is that 500d8 is not enough to level the city. If you think diamond dust equal to 200 gold is too expensive, then your players may have a problem with revivify, or resurrection. The wizard isn't spending 10k gold on the magic armor and sword. *looks directly at the samurai hanging out in herolab* Playing a dirty scruffy C. Widowghast(sp) is not an expensive build, but is very component heavy. It is possible to farm diamond dust every or most downtime events.
"If the surface or object is moved more than 10 feet from where you cast this spell, the glyph is broken, and the spell ends without being triggered." This doesn't do anything except waste a truly astounding amount of diamond dust.
"Atraxa"
How scary would it be if a mind flayer parasite be inside a false Hydra
and that beholder would burst free just ready to kill EVERYTHING!!!!! oh it would be pissed on an astral level! release it and run like you just set off a nuke
I put a chest that had teeth (sculpted) and moving eyes (illusion) on it. It had some sweet loot in there. For some reason my players passed it by. :)
I love this Unfortunately, 5e has to be the fun police with the stupid stipulation that a Glyph of Warding on an object cant be moved more than like 10 feet away from where it was made. So, ignore that.
Kelsier huh, mistborn fan found
I just do milestone and let my players know the points. If they want to level up, they just have to accomplish plot goals. You can tell the players lots of way: fortune teller, prophetic dream, message from deity, or ancient tome are all things I have done.
lol, mimic is good. But a potion of poison is better. I have had villains with imps swap them out before only to it be given to a down player. Really changes the mood.
“I seduce the king”
High Explosives is a solid way to end any campaign. This crater here is some solid world building.
Just remember, MTG players... WotC is planning to add literally SPONGEBOB FUCKING SQUAREPANTS into your official lore, not even as 'adjacent' cards. Have fun with that, and I hope that silly fuck is made the strongest card in all of MTG.
Imagine if the party accidentally picked up a mimic, but after years of travelling with the party, being there to witness their shortcomings, victories and greatest changes, it refuses to attack them
Are we going to pretend edgar isn't just as bad as atraxa?
Ah it seems they have upset Lord Bearington, big mistake.
"The good thing about Commander over other formats is you only need $40 to buy a precon to start playing!" Yea, $40 to start losing.
i love when the party group divide the same brain cell and give us moments like this
Im guessing someone else got a point for asking why a troll would learn a fire spell.
Suggestion for DMs faulty immovable rod that does not take the planet you are on into account. You activate it and the rod seems to shoot away from you at 1000 miles per hour...
This is the b story to the reddit post about the party that travelled back in time and there was a mountain that wasnt their in the future
I was a tiefling druid who eventually got a Amulet of the Planes... I became a plane shifting menace 😂
