She actually did appear in X-Men The Animated Series in the episode where Colossus and Wolverine fought Omega Red and in a couple of other cameos, but only as her child pre-Magik version. The character was pretty big in the 80s and the late 2000s until now, but in the 90s she was written out and then killed off because because the X-Men editor and later Marvel chief Bob Harras wanted the X-Men to only fight Magneto and symbols of human prejudice like the sentinels and hated the idea of them having supernatural stories, so he had a vendetta against the character who was literally named for magic. That's why she was deaged in a side-story during Inferno and then killed off without ever having the rematch with Belasco that was promised ever since her origin and it is why she only appears as a plot device for Colossus in the cartoon and not as her own character. If Bob Harras had not been in charge of the X-Men or not been so narrow-minded, she could have been one of the most popular Marvel characters in the 90s, as she became in the 21st century after Harras left and his anti-magic for mutants vendetta left with him.
