I ❤ trains, trams, take a ride, I have a folder on ''transportation'' (folder 2, in playlists) you will love them too :)
Wow! Does this ever bring back memories! I went at least 3-4 x with my Dad when I was age four!
😅
Hard to believe some of these shots especially looking from the parking lot before Bay Parkway and not seeing the Verrazano Bridge
1:29 This spot right? I know that’s where the separated bike lane begins.
@ Yes that spot but when I was a kid in the early sixties you could just ride anywhere
Yep. This is Bay Ridge, around 100 st and Shore Road. I think you can catch a glimpse of Fontbonne Academy (and a lot less condos back then! ) At the bottom of the overpass there is basically where the Verrazano is .
The bridge was not built yet. Construction started in 1959 and opened in 1964. This film was made in the spring of 1950.
@ I know just making a point at the angle hard to believe that shot with out the bridge in the background but thanks for that
tbh it looks the same today, only with a bridge.
NO LANES and yet....People stay in their lanes. That's when cars had real BUMPERS!!
Lived right off it (E12/E13 St), mid-50's to '60s. This is memory lane for me....
The street lights in the center were already gone when I started driving in 1973. I guess they were a design error.
When did they put the barrier and paint the lines for the Lanes?
@@42luke93 I don't know. They have been there since I was around in the mid 1960s.
That young man contemplating is now either very, very old, or dead.
From 16th and Cropsey I crossed the foot bridge and played on the beach at low tide there.
Miss it.

This show was made for computer operators, typists, word processors, data typists, and keyboard specialists like me. I enjoy watching shows with people using the computer, even the microcomputer, as I do. Your computer network looked nice. It would have been bad not to be there. 🖥🖨
Carnarsie here the belt parkway is the vein of NY connected to everything
❤
Classic! Very well done, and made with love.
This looks like a rebadged Panasonic EIAJ Reel-To-Reel video recorder, but it was GE. Pretty rare and hard to find.
I must have been the only teenager with short hair at that time.
I had sex with my female dentists

A short-sighted disaster. It is now a parking lot 24 hrs a day
74 years ago- wow. Mid-century America.
Just found your channel. Cool accessory in action, thanks!
It was so funny
Thats fun for sure.
Neat MTH accessory. Got any Menards buildings?
Yes, Jimbo's Jim, Lamont Lanes Bowling Alley, Moe's Motorcycle Shop, Parking Garage, Sinclair Gas Station, Sooty's Coal Tipple, Carvana Vehicle Showroom.
Classic Lionel accessory.
65+ years and still works great!
👍👍
And now its the worst road in N.Y.C.
No, that would have to be the BQE.
Better Expect Lotta Traffic.
Make America like this again !
You People pine for a past you know nothing about.
@zummo61 and you do?
Woah! This must be why older people drive slow. Cars used to not handle as well as today.
Dentist are not actually that scary to me😂
This is really funny

❤
Disneyland parade
My family visited the NY Worlds Fair several times in 1964. Q27 from Bayside to downtown Flushing and one stop on the 7 Train the Fairgrounds. My only regret is not fully appreciating the wonder and grandeur at 5 years old. But I do remember eating Belgian Waffles, riding the Gondola, Ford convertible seeing Dinosaurs, Uniroyal Ferris Wheel, It’s a small World, Carousel of Progress, and Elsie the Cow attractions.
The Belt was the way I got to all my cousins on LI.
Our roller garden was a big building in St. Louis Park Minnesota. Still in business as far as I know.
What! No Belgian waffles?
I like it alot ! Thanks for sharing !
Eric forman would be considered a star over here. If you know, you know. 😊
Such an iconic Lionel accessory.
Great demonstration . i plan on purchasing a lionel gantry crane in the near Future .
Normally tapes this old suffer the dreaded sticky tape syndrome and have to be baked to.re bind the tape so that it will play again. Good ols E I A J.
