Personally I would find it helpful when you’re rattling of a list of the controls if you could cut to a closeup of the front panel so we can better follow along. Likewise, when you’re listing the parameter settings for a specific example, I can’t really follow along very well and it would be more meaningful to actually see the panel with those settings dialed in. Just my two cents.

It’s a difficult pill to swallow paying for an expensive generic looking pedal, so it’s nice that this expensive pedal is aesthetically pleasing

Love it. Going to get it some time. I prefer it with the delay at the end. So far for my attempts I like a dying 9 volt as it delivers dynamic envelope gates at random times. However it is difficult to know when to use it at optimum timel

Reminds me of my WA 385 MKII mixed with what happens to some drives when they aren't on isolated power and daisy chained with digital pedals. Fun!!!

NIN in that pedal and many other sounds. I would run it super dry to really emphasize the textures, and with reverb for a ‘wash’ overall sound. Pretty versatile sounding really!

Tom is my favorite pedal builder doing it right now. His Murder One and Murder Three are the basis of my sound in my band and the LSD V2 is my favorite fuzz I’ve tried. Not to mention he keeps everything $150 or under. Awesome demo as usual, you may already know this but this distortion circuit is the one that is in the Murder Four as well.

Can the octave be used on its own or is it like the Life Pedal that's only used when the distortion is on?

I inherited a 1976 240T. When I was a teen I had a 212 stereo chorus. Loved it. this beast is a classic though.

I was literally in a mental debate with myself as I did take a peak at this and didn't want to grab what felt like another Life Pedal clone, but also have been looking at ordering the Cenotaph alongside the Serpent Power - I think I'll just break the bank and grab all three now. Great tones all round. This should sound really mean on the dual dark 100.

ah... what you love are "difference tones", or "sidebanding". me too! the ones you play here are really klanky, ie: goodthings, imo.

I am torn with this and EQD Ag (wait that's Au for chemistry gold jokes). Still fixing fuzz issue and this might do that... Some new subbin Pyrite from Detroit. Yar.😂

They look nice! I use JP's signature Trinity picks which look similar, but probably don't play as good as those do! I'm a student though so I don't think I'll be getting them soon since they are (rightfully) expensive...

Awesome video as always. Just wondering if you could only pick one, which one: EAE Halberd, Silktone Overdrive+, or Non-Human Unclean? I need to pick only one, please help.

I’ve tried virtually every distortion and overdrive pedal out there, outside of maybe some genre specific metal stuff. I might be over exaggerating but I have tried around 100-120 dirt pedals and the halberd is in the top five at the very least. It doesn’t sound like anything else yet covers a metric ton of basis thanks to the powerful EQ. John Snyder is an amazing engineer and has excellent taste as well. It’s refreshing to try drives and distortions that aren’t voiced for classic rock/blues, yes there are other companies that have more modern sensibilities as well, but EAE really make the best modern dirt boxes imo.

That last part with the Model FET ripped, amazing playing
