Thanks for all the love, everyone! The Oh Hellos has been one of my favorite bands for years now and seeing DSMP use a Greek Mythology motif has been the best thing ever. Please check them out! Animation notes under the cut if anybody is interested: -the lyrics matter IMMENSELY in how we chose our scenes, so if you catch anything fun please let us know! I'd love to hear your thoughts on how/ why we did a certain thing -the whole of this was animated in Krita on our laptops! Unfortunately, they could not handle the whole of the animatic, and when we were finally able to combine our frames it took a Herculean effort to get even what you see now - we started in December of last year, to give you a sense of how we struggled -the lines that actually started it all were "till it's both nothing like and everything it's always been"; the two frames there were supposed to be "Welcome home, Theseus!" (nothing like) and "Then die like one!" (it's always been) - the scene where Tommy is watching all his visitors disappear took me the most time, and necto actually taught me how to animate it! I had to read the wiki to see just how many people visited: it was a LOT. Also, apologies for my Jack Manifold design: this was previous to me watching his streams, but now I am very much on the Manigrind -While initially Tommy-centric, we realized very quickly it could be SBI centric, and divided it up among Tommy, Techno and Wilbur -we didn't have plans for the end, but ideally we would have been able to draw many other members of the smp! I wished some of the pacifists could have gotten more screentime (ex Eret, Ranboo) but alas, computer crash
