Hey everyone, here is the review of the mystery guitar I was using in the “Husbands & Wife’s” cover last week. I promised a review of the guitar and hear it is. Take a look it the Yamaha CSF3M if you are in the market for an all solid wood parlor guitar.

The first of hopefully many acoustic covers I will do for this channel. These will be impromptu and not be perfect but maybe you will like them. If you want to see more of this kind of thing, let me know.

Hey everyone! Here is a short review of a Martin Dreadnought Jr. Pre 2019. This dreadnought jr is made differently now by Martin and can only be found on the used market. I highly recommend you recommend you getting one if you can find one made before 2019. Please excuse the wind noise the mic picks up. I had to record outside today. Thanks

Martin Special 16 Style Rosewood

I can not tell you how much I love this guitar. What an amazing value but also what a superb guitar in its own right. The Martin Special 16 Style Rosewood has quickly become my main guitar and I highly recommend this fabulous guitar. In short this guitar is a Guitar Center custom order from Martin that is almost exactly the same specs as an HD28.

In this video I review the Shure GLDX16 wireless guitar/bass system. Overall I am very pleased with this product especially for the price I bought it at which was $100. I use this product weekly and am satisfied with its performance. I will include the link to the manual for this system here: pubs.shure.com/guide/GLXD6/en-US I was extremely fortunate to find this a $100 but normal used market v...

The Audio Technica ATW-3141 is a fantastic choice for a pro level mic system with easy set up and great reliability. Built to last, this system is a great value on the used market with a street value roughly between $150-$200. Be sure to...
Seymour Duncan Wavelength Solo Review

This is a brief overview and sound demo of the Seymour Duncan Wavelength Solo and Seymour Duncan Volume and Tone control module.
Guitar snobs often turn their noses up at any Martin acoustic guitar manufactured after 1970 but the truth as I see it is the modern day Martin's are better in tone and overall quality. I have a 1970 Martin D-28 and I can honestly say your Special 16 sounds better. Today's quality guitars are better made and sound better in many instances than the much sought-after vintage guitars.
I’m gonna either get this guitar or the Fender PS220E for playing on the worship team. I love the comfortability and compactness of this instrument.
Nice demo! Im split between this one and the D16E
Great electronics! Amazing plugged-in sound.
I got one in Sunburst at the end of 2024. Really happy with it and the setup was perfect.
I bought a used one and absolutely LOVE IT! What a great guitar.
Is this a rather bright mic or room? This guitar sounds much brighter than I keep hearing or reading.
Great video thanks for posting Guitar sounds great. How would you compare the sound wise to the Martin dreadnought Junior thanks.
Is the CSF TA all solid? Or is it like CSF 1M with solid spruce top and laminate mohagamy sides and back?
solid
@@Brian-qg8dg I just bought one. The top is solid spruce but pretty sure the sides and back are laminate. Reason I say pretty sure is because if it was solid they would say so. Anyways it sounds great without the effects and sounds amazing with. PS. The CSF 3M is all solid.
I actually have two of these. One in the sunburst like yours, and the other in the vintage finish. Both beautiful parlor guitars that sound way bigger than their size would suggest.
That guitar sounds amazing
It is not one of the best guitars ever made to you, it IS one of the best guitars to exist.
Yeah these are really amazing. they are so good looking. I find them so beautiful. I prefer how they look over a D28. I was going to buy a D28, but I fell in love with an 18 that they had, these sound so warm and perfect to me. I don't like rosewood as much I guess.
Great sound…
What strings you put on it
Nice review! What mix are using to record? Sounds great
Larrivee!!!
The newer ones have bigger dot inlays, that is the easiest way to tell....I went out of my way to get a pre 2019 model. Harder to find in 2024
Its a Martin D 16 R GT is all it is. It has
This is same as D16 RGT?
Can you please let me know if this guitar is still available
Hi Matthew, how the bass of this guitar? is sufficient cole to the dreadnought??? thanks in advance
what strings have you got on it? Sounds great!
Thanks, you know I dont remember. Its been so long ago and I do not have the guitar anymore. Sorry
What is the song at 9:33? I cannot for the life of me remember the name at this moment.
This is not mini guitar!!!
Did you ever put the Baggs Anthem in? I was concerned with the end pin "box". I hate the Fishman. Debating whether I should keep.
Nice review, very good playing too that really puts the guitar through its paces.
Nice sound..big from small body..great..do you have a video with the guitar plugged into the amplifier or mixer? what kind of sound does it give, since there is no EQ or VOL.? thank you and all the best 🙂
Eq is available on your amp. As is vol....
Larrivee makes a fantastic guitar I own a dig 03 and it’s phenomenal
I'll tell you what man that's one of the best audio clips I've heard for representing a d-18. Great job. And you definitely got a good one. Anyone complaining is an idiot. I've listened to the best of the best when it comes to recordings and for some reason yours just came out perfect to represent the d-18 sound
I appreciate that! Thanks for the comment
Great review! ! Do you still have this guitar and is the honey moon over or does it still sound great. Found one used in good shape but kind of hanging on the limb undecided yet . You compared it to a hd-28 sound wise yet . Thanks for your review. Jeffery Clark from Rockdale Texas.
I just purchased a ‘99 D-02 and not sure if I’ll add a pu or not. What mic are you using on the guitar. It sounds great.
Looks like you swapped out/upgraded your Tuners?
Tuners were stock
Just bought one of these, and it is AMAZING - never have I ben so happy with a guitar purchase. What a freaking value.
Hi, Matthew, is it still available for purchase of this model ?
this or GS mini Rosewood
Thats a hard one. I love the all solid wood on the yamaha. I love the power of the gs mini. I would probably take the yamaha just because it is all solid wood. Both are excellent
Hello - Love your review of the Martin Special 16. I am looking to buy either the Martin Special 16 Rosewood or the Martin D-16E Rosewood. Just curious - have you also tried the Martin D-16E Rosewood? Which of these do you think sounds nicer? I am told the 16E sounds more basy and maybe softer, due to the more shallow depth. What do you think?
The ooo body width on the D16e will definitely be noticeably different than the full width D. The full size is going to be more powerful in the whole spectrum. If it wasn’t for the shallow body I’d buy one. I buy from zzounds because of their awesome payment plans but unfortunately they don’t sell the special 16 with the full width D body. So far I just haven’t been able to hit the buy button on the special D and pay it all at once. I want to but it’s very hard lol The 16 special is going to sound just like a HD28 though. It IS a HD28 without the gloss finish and herringbone trim. The wood and bracing is all exactly the same. The 16 special has a cheaper satin finish and has closed turners instead of open back tuners. Other than that it’s the same guitar. Actually the satin finish may sound even more powerful than HD28 with the thicker glossy finish. The top may vibrate more
I would say the Special 16 is in a league of its own like an HD28. The D16E is a thin body so it will sound thinner. Also it's a low end cheap model. The Special 16 is built with high end specs but meant to be an affordable exclusive to GC and MF. No comparison.
I have one of the last D02 made in Vancouver Canada before Laravee moved thier operation to the US.
Like a piano!
It's a great sonding small size...
Thank you. I have a lefty version of this guitar and it is the pride of my collection (Martin DM, D18, D28, Collings D2H, Breedlove SC20). I installed the KK pure mini and she sounds perfect.
Hi, what kind of strings are you using?
Great review. Thanks. I ordered a D16E on 12/29/21 and they won’t deliver till this November so I’m considering dropping by GC tomorrow and switching my order to a Special 16 cause GC does have it in stock. Going to test one out at the very least.
D16E is a thin body and the Special 16 has normal deep body so most likely will sound deeper, bassier. The Special 16 sounds incredible. Better than the HD28nnext to it. I highly recommend it
What a steal.
And one last thing….I played the newest versions of the DJR 10 and 000 body size and they compete very well with the balance of tone of the GS Mini Koa, however, the older original version of this guitar has a much better overall base response and sustain by a noticeable difference. Martin fixed something that wasn’t broken with this original Dreadnought Junior. You are right, this guitar is amazing for its size and solid wood sound and mine is opening up to even greater tone. I also changed out the plastic pins to Tusq and opted to change out the bone saddle for Tusq which also helped bring it to full life. The bone saddle muffled up the tone too much for the Sapele and Sitka tone woods IMHO
Could you please recommend which one you prefer in terms of finger style playing ( soothing music rather than fast music) ,000 or Djr 10 ( the newer version) . Thank you ❤
Your review helped convince me and you were right. I first bought a GS Mini Koa and felt cramped on the 23 1/2 inch scale length and especially the 1-11/16 nut. Still a decent guitar. But, after buying a Martin GPC-11e and learning the beauty of a 1-3/4” nut and the deeper Martin voice I kept searching for a better fit and sound over my GS Mini. Found a mint condition 2015 Dreadnought Junior and struggle to play anything else. The strings I like so far are the Martin Retro Monel and the 12’s are great! The 13’s are harder to play decent but the 12’s are wonderful.
I just strummed one at GC and all I can say is WOWWWEWW!!! in the last year and a half been looking for that perfect dreadnought guitar and this one is IT. It blew me away. The volume, sustain, bell tones, clarity. OMG. Played it side by side HD28 and this sounded better. Go buy one NOW
Just bought one of these (CSF1M) used for about $260. Looks brand new. I'm a guitar tech and did a setup on it already, lowering the action quite a bit and swapping out the plastic bridge pins for ebony ones with abalone inlays. I may also swap out the nut and saddle for bone ones. I instantly dug this little guitar and the gig bag too. It's on 2-week police hold at Guitar Center. Can't wait to take it home. This will be my new travel guitar.
The csf1m is a laminate guitar. Realy doesnt compare with this beauty.
@@Wobbz9413 Laminated back and sides with a solid top. I bought this to be my new travel guitar, so the strength and stability of laminated back and sides is suitable for my purpose. I would love to get a CSF3M as well at some point, but I don't have the money for one now.
I like this guy. A genuine person
Sounds great and nice playing
Re-imagine this: I have a D18GE with Adirondack top. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine. I have played mine about 20 years now. I am considering a CEO 7 but I might be selling this, wife things
