I have spent many asleepless nights trying to figure out why, what, how , Something that had caused My birds back in the day.To go from winning in big events with multiple winning birds produced by the same parents. Year after year...To losing overnight ln One molt season. Mind you they were treated raised, trained , with the the best top care and medication , vaccine available and information at the time I had access or knowledge of.Never really changing, just fine tuning improvements on what was winning already ,At the time I had sent young /old, live /dead you name it birds to different Bird Labratory Facilities, UC Davis you name it , The answers they were giving did not match coincide , with the symptoms sickness by looking and feeling give the laboratory were never looking in the right direction. in determining what was really wrong,,, Because it didn't seem to show until the bird was put under stress physical stress or when cutting feed.Making results medication wise that never showed any promising results, in my opinion ,The Birds of today don't have the power and indurance like they had in the late 80s ,You have answered a 25 years long, mystery as to what had gone wrong with scientificly with my birds l thank you so much thank you

microscopic analysis is definitely the best method . probably like yourself back in the day i was still winning club & fed averages on beans & maze & a bit red band & Johnson's tonic as a treat . it was only in later years that i treat for worms,cocci & canker before pairing up 👍

If you hold the bird under water for 30 seconds let them go and they will not come back I kept pigeons when I was a young boy back in the 70s I a loft 32 by 12 and a lot of birds people came to my house and put there rings on the young birds I never raced my birds I just love pigeons now I'm in to koi carp you have some nice birds 👍

Antibiotics ruining this game, I'm 66 now and my father race pigeons all his life, Antibiotics was not heard off them, When a pigeon got canker, you got a box red head matched,s ,Soaked them, and then swab the pigeon throat with sulphur, after 2 weeks that treatment , it killed the canker
