Lol the first static extension. Ive worked in PT for ten years; anyone with a disc injury is going to have massive problems getting into this position let alone staying there unless their fitness is up to par (most of the time its not). Watch Dr Eric Goodman for something more practical
Of course you are right, a lot of people have to work into this position, we start with a modification of hands on the floor. I considered leaving it out of the video but the impact of the exercise (if you can manage it) is so profound that I left it in.
Great Video. I have a question, I have just been diagnosed with Grade 1 Retrolistheses in my L5 S1 and can't get a see a chiropractor for 5 weeks and was wondering if this exercises would be ok for me. In my case I think bending backward would be better rather than bending forward seeing one vertebra is popping out over the other backwards. I have been told to work on my core but unsure what to do other than side planks and a superman pose lol, your workout looks it would make sense to me in my condition? Thanks in advance.
With retrolistheses, I would say most of these are fine. I would recommend skipping static extension at least until you discuss further with your chiropractor.

Why do you have them elevate their heels on the squat test? And why do you have them lunge on the board? I always thought you keep your feet apart like you are on a railroad track.
You need to elevate heels if your ankle mobility isn't good enough to make a squat with feet on the ground. And if your shoulder mobility isn't good, put away stick and make a squat with your hands in front of you. The lunge is performed on fms board because with fms you are testing mobility and stability. If you are not stable enough, then you should perform with feet separated.
