Been a viking fan since late 70s. The way vikings fans have been talking shit about cousins makes me embarrassed to be a vikings fan. 1. Thank you for your take! Im a BSU life long fan. Our program has been fighting for the chance to be in a playoff or have a shot at a national title FOREVER! But anytime we came close the goal was moved back. Any excuse to shut BSU and other non P4 teams out. Im loving the chaos! I agree that it shouldn't be auto buys but should have bids. Love that g5 teams are now in the conversation. And the sec and big dogs cant stand it. I never watch college playoff, most bowl games or the championship games because its always the same group of teams! And no one i care about! Now i am going to watch these other games like the penn state/smu because i want to see who Boise is going up against. In another time i wouldn't have bothered. BSU would potentially be in a bowl game and that would be it. Its increased viewers on other games having a playoff like this

I think it's the way he left. He had a great 2022 season and was on track to be great again in 2023 until he got injured. But even then he had all the goodwill in the world. The coach wanted him back, the fans (mostly) wanted him back. But instead of accepting that he's 36 and going with a year-to-year contract, he broke league rules to make sure he was out the door with a huge contract on day one of free agency. That's why he got boo-ed. And boy is Atlanta learning about him the hard way.

Your are kind of an idiot. Cousin numbers were top five in the league. Cousins didn't just leave. Cousins wanted to stay and finish his career in Minnesota. The team didn't even make a counter offer, even though Cousins had hinted that he would take less money on a guaranteed three year deal. The door was closed and there was no way for Cousins to stay with the team under any circumstance. Cousins was one of the most physically abused QBs in the entire league. He took more hits than anyone. He kept getting up and he kept at it. Cousins never quit on the team. He was all in and that's all you can ask for. Was it Cousins fault that the defense could not keep a lead. How many times did Cousins lead the team down the field to retake the lead, only to have the defense give it back late in the game. The Vikings used the money they saved after cutting Cousins and Cook and Hunter loose. I don't know I lost count of the number of players the team let go. Then the team went shopping for a defense. Then they shopped and got a couple linemen. The only thing the team didn't shop for was an offense. Just a Running Back. Got a QB and Kicker in the draft. What they found were a number of discarded quarterbacks that other teams had given up on. That is why Darnold is only getting Ten Million on a one year deal. Darnold is resurrecting his career. The team has McCarthy under a rookie deal and that is the future. Not Darnold. Jones will likely end up the starter next year and then go to backup. Let's not forget one final fact. Kirk Cousins didn't force the Vikings to sign him to that big contract. That was their decision. The Viking went shopping for a quarterback. They found a good one. Unfortunately, they forgot about the defense. You can take your podcast and throw it in the garbage. Your an amateur and nobody want to hear this negative crap.

What about their strength of schedule? Should that be taken into consideration? Can SMU beat Georgia? Hell could they beat Vandy at Vandy? It’s ridiculous that this is even a conversation. I personally think it would take away from what the bowl games mean. Just for example the Rose Bowl is now a playoff game. When someone talks about that game, they aren’t going to call it “The Rose Bowl game” or whatever, it’s gonna be a playoff game. The playoff games are what’s killing the bowl games. Nobody cares about the bowl game because of the playoffs. Like it just overshadows big time bowl games. Just a personal opinion, I’m still kinda shocked that the Sugar Bowl and Rose Bowl are playoff games. Also take into consideration I’m kinda old school, I don’t want playoffs. I want BCS #1 and #2 and that’s it. Cheers fellas
