Unless you approach the current naam acharya and submissively ask for mercy and take direct guidance, you won't understand what the internal process is of chanting fast. Srila Gurudev gives personal empowerment, and since we are all unique in our own way, there is no chance we can learn from another saddhak, Harinam initiation can only be given by a pure devotee and only by the guidance of the pure devotee you can make fast progress. Otherwise you can go on speculating you're entire life on how this is possible. In yoga maya even the impossible becomes possible. Hare Krsna!

Hare Krishna! Prabhu, thank you for your honesty. The three stages of Bhakti is the Offensive stage, Purification stage and then the Pure stage. The qualities of a saddhaka is humility and sincerity when approaching a spiritual master. These qualities is a must. With humility also comes truthfulness, and if we stay that way and surrender to the spiritual master, he will give instructions and blessings accordingly. You have to go through your own tapasya meaning you have to be willing to start following the instructions. Srila Prabhupada always said, that spiritual life is like poison in the beginning and nectar at the end. It is up to you if you want to follow the instructions, it has to be your choice alone. In the beginning it is required to find the strength in faith (shraddha), then try to associate with devotees (sadhu sanga), then bhajana kriya, start the purification process under the guidance of the spiritual master. I'm also a saddhaka and struggle with my own anarthas, but gradually one step at the time I move forward with Srila Gurudev's blessings and instructions. So it is a normal thing to be full of material desires, that is why we are called conditioned souls. But Bhagavan Krishna says Himself to Arjuna, Do not fear, I will give all protection. Same with Srila Gurudev, there is no need to fear our past sinful life, but we have to be honest of our stage and start from there. Srila Gurudev is open to everyone who is sincere and desires to chant pure Harinam or shuddha Naam regardless the stage. In my own case when I struggle I quite frankly tell Srila Gurudev with what it is and receive the appropriate blessings and guidance. Hare Krishna!

Gauranga Mahaprabhu used to congregational chanting as well. Kirtan, Bhajans, and Japa are all methods of Gaudiya Math Tradition. There are no hard rules of chanting Harinam, the point is to constantly chant Harinam and try to avoid the 10 Offences. It does not matter in what setting one is chanting. But if you want to make deep personal spiritual progress, japa is my main saddhana, the reason is that the rounds can be increased, but in kirtan, you can't chant fast, it's more of a synergy with other devotees and a wonderful meditation. As Srila Gurudev mentioned in other videos, you just have to chant Shuddha Naam, and even if you chant shuddha naam once, you're on your way back to Godhead. Someway or other we try to chant shuddha naam what ever method we use. anya-abhilāṣitā-śūnyam-without desires other than those for the service of Lord Kṛṣṇa, or without material desires (such as those for meat-eating, illicit sex, gambling and addiction to intoxicants); jñāna-by the knowledge of the philosophy of the monist Māyāvādīs; *.karma-by fruitive activities; ādi-by artificially practicing detachment, by the mechanical practice of yoga, by studying the Sāṅkhya philosophy, and so on; anāvṛtam-uncovered; ānukūlyena-favorable; kṛṣṇa-anuśīlanam-cultivation of service in relationship to Kṛṣṇa; bhaktiḥ uttamā-first-class devotional service. TRANSLATION "When first-class devotional service develops, one must be devoid of all material desires, knowledge obtained by monistic philosophy, and fruitive action. The devotee must constantly serve Kṛṣṇa favorably, as Kṛṣṇa desires. And if anyone wants to go still further, they have to approach a self realized soul and perform service under his instruction (bhajana kriya), to achieve the next step brahma bhuta stage. That is the 9 fold process of Bhakti Yoga, and bhajana kriya is only the 3rd step. We are fortunate to associate with Naam Acharya Srila Gurudev Dharmavira das Prabhu. The manifested acharya guides the Movement of Krishna Consciousness further, and decides in what area progress has to be made. The religion of Kali Yuga is Harinam, and Harinam can be performed in any setting.

​@@prabhupadaharinamthanks for the response. I did get the opportunity for online training through WhatsApp around a year ago. Prabhuji told me to chant 64 rounds and report it to him. So I started with chanting 32 rounds and used to report to him and one day i chanted only 16 rounds and after that Prabhuji told not to message him for less than 64 rounds and after that till now I couldn't chant 64 rounds on any day so couldn't get back to Prabhuji. Is there any more support provided for online training other than just reporting daily. I thought online training means there will be some discussions/classes and personal support to help one reach chanting 64 rounds.

I think for people like me who are just chanting 16 rounds and with unregulated lifestyle but aspiring to chant 64 rounds, can anyone provide any support and guidance please. Any of Prabhuji students who are chanting 64 rounds can also please give some guidance and inspiration to come to the standard of 64 rounds

@@MrMaddy573 Yes, there is online training, and it is up to Srila Gurudev's discretion whom he trains personally. You may submit another form. Sometimes it is better to receive personal training at Radhakund, but again, the only way to get in touch is through submitting an online form.

@@MrMaddy573 It is up to every individual person. You cannot just ask for something without going through tapasya. Blessings are always there, but when we get a chance to associate with a pure devotee, are we utilizing these blessings? Typically people who don't go through any tapasya are not qualified. Srila Prabhupada mentioned himself many times, first deserve then desire. I met Srila Gurudev after 14 years of trying and failing to chant 64 rounds a day. I would focus on reading and studying Srila Prabhupada's books. Try to understand what you're biggest anarthas are and your biggest offences towards Harinam and start from there. It is most difficult to go into our own trenches of ignorance, regardless if it is doubts, misunderstandings, childhood traumas, or what ever it may be, the starting point is your own consciousness. In the past I had to deal with my own traumas, no one can deal with your internal problems besides yourself. And patience is a virtue, actually that is one of many qualities of pure devotees. The point is, you already associated with Srila Gurudev and received same blessings as everyone else. Now it is up to you what you do with it.

By his qualities. A conditioned soul can't know who is self realized and who is not. But through association one can know. Again Srila Prabhupada gave many examples in his books. When I first joined the ashram in 2008, I had no experience of all what was out there. I just followed what Srila Prabhupada wrote in his books. And so my first guru seemed to follow exactly what Srila Prabhupada laid out in his books at least that is what he projected in his videos. When first joined, I saw that it was just word jugglery. (We get up at 4'clock in the morning, we chant 64 rounds a day, we do arti etc.) I bought into that, but when I joined, by that time I gave and sold all of my possessions, gave half away to me ex, and the rest to the ashram. Finally I convinced the ashram to do arti, then later in India we finally started abisheck and so on. But close to the end of the third year, he started to deviate from Srila Prabhupada's instructions. By that time all of the bhramacharies were emotionally, psychologically and mentally invested into the sanga. He almost succeeded in creating a cult. He is an intelligent predator and would pray on the week first. Once he had convinced a handful to follow his deviations, he started to expand trying to convince others. It was damn difficult to go against him, because everyone seemed to follow him blindly, without really understanding Srila Prabhupada's books. When I left, I left without any material possessions, my heart was broken, and I thought to myself that I don't want any guru in my life. I was still part of the websites forum, receiving the forum emails. I saw first hand how he manipulated others in his writings against me. To my surprise when I left I grabbed an old laptop from the ashram, it turned out that this laptop had all the evidence against him and his corrupt ways. For some reason him and his close disciples recorded every perverted thing they did. It took me about 3-4 months to come out of my own traumas. After reading all the forum posts and all the lies about me, I became angered and wrote an email exposing all the evidence to everyone within the ashram and outside students who previously shared their email with me. And so finally the whole thing started to fall apart. Of course he grabbed all the donations and fled to Italy I belief. Anyhow, after some deliberate and deep introspection, and by the blessings of Sri Krishna, I was back to normal. Of course it took like three years. This time when I approached Srila Gurudev Dharmavira das prabhu, I had only one thing that I deeply desired is to chant 64 rounds a day. One of my godbrother from the previous sanga introduced me to Srila Gurudev through his testimonial. It's been almost 4 years now. After the initial stage of struggling to chant 64 rounds a day, currently chanting 64 rounds is fast and almost effortless. Many other confidential introspective things are happening within my consciousness which is not ment for RUclips. But just to answer your initial question how to know if some one is self realized. I go by the results and revelations. If guru is real, you will make advancement quickly. If he is fake, then it will take life times to make any advancement, because the con guru's potency is like yours, meaning very minimal.

The purpose of Harinam is to develop spiritually, all processes of bhakti are included in chanting Harinam. But even then there is plenty of time during the day to read Srila Prabhupada's books and perform arti. Typically the speed of japa gradually increases by the blessings of Srila Gurudev.

Only an Uttama Adhikari can preach the pure message. Because he is pure. What can a Kanishta preach? A madyam adhikari can only preach what he has realized. It's one of the offenses to preach to the faithless. But the Uttama Adhikari has the shakti to impart knowledge and faith. Srila Gurudev is very clear in the video.

@@DurgaBasnet This is a testimony, not a showcase. But to simplify the understanding. Srila Bhakativinod explains how japa is being done. It can be chanted aloud or softly. The more softly you chant the more subtle and faster it gets. Until it becomes sublime. But before that can happen, one has to go through the purification process and bhajana kriya (following instructions of guru)

We are all fallen here. That is why it is important to associate with pure devotees, through sadhu, guru and shastra
