I gave up on my heavy full frame Canon cameras and lens to go to a lighter set up with XT4 and then the XH2. Now I have gone even heavier with a GFX 100s ii and honestly don't mind the weight. The images from it are awesome. I am hoping I can still feel like I want to use the XH2.

Poor XH2s and XT5. They are going to be benched for most of the game. 😂

Nicely done🙌🏼 i so much wanna give this lens a try but sounds like it’s pretty darn heavy & tiring after a full portrait session… especially if you as a young man noticed it 😰😅 but the results 🤩!! btw, I believe you mentioned you used electrical tape for making a gobo design pattern on your light reflector, if you indeed used electrical tape it will become a sticky mess with heat, which maybe you found out (??) I would recommend gaffer tape 100% always for any type of stuff like that where things get warm/hot- it’s also really good tape for a whole lot of other stuff and doesn’t leave a sticky mess thanks for your thoughts on this lens 🙏🏼

This simulation is actually incredible! I tested it out a little today and love that it works indoors with people and outdoors with nature as well. The photos have a super nostalgic and filmic look to it too! I'm not using any grain and it still looks vintage. I'm really digging it. Thanks for sharing! By the way, do you have a name for it?

What strap are you using?

This a 65mm, not a 50mm in full frame 35mm equivalent. It's not even a 50mm on true 6x4.5 film which is an even bigger format than this sensor.

I just bought a GFX 50sii and a Pentax 50mm f1.7 lens. The sensor and lens are the same as your setup in this video. I've tried taking various photos and there's no way to get the same depth and 3D effect in my photos as in yours. I have no idea how to achieve this. Previously, I took photos on a Fuji X-T3 (APS-C sensor) for several years and seeing your video I thought that after switching to medium format and getting a lens like you use I would get this effect, but unfortunately I'm very disappointed. Do you have any suggestions or tips?

I prefer mitakon 65mm... Similar dof in a wide view PERSPECTIVE (medium format like) ... I think mitakon needs to do something like a new 45mm or 50mm with similar Dof. THAT'S COULD SOLD OUT QUICKLY

That intro was aesthetic AF! How's the manual focus experience on the GFX 50R? I've heard it's not great on the newer cameras even the GFX 50sii and doesn't get good till the latest cameras. I'm thinking about getting the 100sii.

Can you tell us which adapter exactly you are using and if you think that’s a good one?

Hey that video-shot of the second location was easily your best shot of him. You should shoot more from down below and a distance! Worked really well. Btw, the bat was kind of distracting to me. Like having him lean against the tree without it would have made a killer image to me. Enjoyed this a lot. Cool stuff.
