Nick Cave Interview (Pt. 1 of 4: Habits and Routines)
How nice to see someone so enthusiastically dancing. Iwould too if I woukdnt be so socially anxious .thanks so much for uploading
Nice Cave the zionist jew. you disgust me.
Apart from a few exceptions his lyrics are mostly too dark for me,, but he comes across, as a likeable, and charismatic guy, and he always works with the best musicians which make his really songs stand out.
My Guy:he comes across as superficial and he is but I'm a sucker for well read leviathans
How did he regrow his hairline in recent years?
When did they make this interview with Nick Cave. I’m assuming the early 2000s.
2003
I actually haven’t seen this interview in so long. About maybe 6 years ago since. Around the time I found Nick Cave and the bad seeds the band. It is one of my favorite interviews of musicians.
I propose that Blixa is part leopard/panther (so much of his black attire aligns with it) - there is a resemblance in the sounds… 🐆 ruclips.net/user/shortsT7uitxWunr8?si=sSnG7oZhNAZJNItq 😹
Omg that's so accurate
can you image Nick Cave being in a room with Prince?
I am a big Nick Cave fan. The interviewer was not prepared at all. At one point Nick had to suggest to the interviewer the next topic that they might possibly discuss. What a shame Nick Cave is a very interesting man who had his time wasted by this man that could have delved into so many topics of Nicks work, life, inspirations, family, etc..
Per sinding larsen doing a great job!
Nick Cave describing his man cave
Good song
If you’re into natal charts at all, I’m no zealot just find it fascinating, it’s not surprising he isn’t in touch with his feelings as much. He’s only got one water sign 3x, secretive Scorpio, which explains a lot of his temperament too… But he’s dominated by a lot of Virgo (also explains why he’s so bloody good at putting things into words) and some air and fire… He’s got 5x earth (all Virgo), 2x fire, 2x air, and 3x water (all Scorpio)… I won’t get into the rest, if you know astrology you’ll know, otherwise it’s gibberish. Just interesting.
Just a gloomy kinda guy in a roomy trying to write ..the mistro who was shy drawing out lines of himself .took the rat out of the drain pipe and placed it on a bookshelf....I find listening to him talk ..such an inspiration and to see how far he has come ..he has my total admiration. .but then who the fuck am i..to comment on this guy.......thank you nick for just been you...
One of my favorites!
Fantastic!
Great song! Thanks for the upload!
I love the videos of them making their music. A room full of musical geniuses at work. #BlixaBargeld making sounds with the little boy is the best part. The kid isn’t aware that he’s being shown the famous quiet scream technique 2:38 of one of the greatest musical sound innovators of our age. #EinsturzendeNeubauten
Nick Cave, especially when he was younger, often reminded me a lot of Bob Dylan in his interviews. I mean in the sense of, you can't really tell if he's putting you on or if he's being sincere. Enigmatic and often humorous without being obvious.
"I don't think creatively with other people around". I am the same way, for the most part. Some people take it personally. It isn't.
His sarscasm is just so hilariously entertaining. Always cheers me up!

What interview are they referring to in the beginning?
Dude's extraordinarily and effortlessly cool.
He looks like Alan Watts
He reminds me of Roland orzabal so much. They sing similar and similar dark gothic type of material. I love both of them ❤️
per sinding- larsen is now working as an english teacher here in sweden. hurrah!
Outside of Jamming and all his kick ass Energy on stage he seems to be a Turd of Misery.
nick said: all you can do is fail.
Fireboys been purging... 7 inch please
Nick likes the old violence.
Enjoyed this but towards the end he should have had questions ready... It was painful waiting for the questions to come (for viewer & Nick Cave, clearly)...He was lucky to get the interview, he shouldn't leave him waiting for a question!
I love the fact that he looks and behaves like a literature professor. He has that teacher flare about him without actually being one. Maybe it is the influence of his dear dad.
I was just about to say the samething even his dad said Nick is very much like him 👏🏻👏🏻
He was good in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Have to disagree: starting something is relatively easy. Finishing something is difficult
I disagree Starting something is always difficult than finishing. Giving birth, being born is diifficult, death is relatively peaceful and easy no matter how much pain you are in.
I think what Nick was saying is that starting something *again* its hard. Like when you're in the middle of a creative process you must continue and never stop because if you do, entering that same rhythm that you were before is very difficult. In his case, I think the creative process as a whole must never stop, or it become hard to get in the mood again. Nevertheless, I agree with you that starting something *new* is always easier compared to finish an entire project or something
Alot of people, including myself, over romanticize being a working musician. Cave nails it: there simply is not enough time (unless one has days off). Just as many romanticize being a business executive and flying first class all over the world. Most are on company time, so outside of having a nice meal with colleagues (which is business), the time is spent in airports, hotels, and meetings, etc
"what do "you" call that"
Blixa making higher pitched shrieks than the toddler!...hahahaha. what a vocal range. Lord knows how he can make those legendary screams.
He's definitely part cat
This interview is great. His mood is spot on.
On days off, which are rare, you just sit there in the hotel room and stare into the middle distance, try not to jump out the window 😁😁
I always thought it was the strangest thing that he has/had an office and clocks in like a regular working guy. He explains why quite well, it makes sense, but still... also interesting that he doesn't listen to music in there.
Not really. When creating your own music, I imagine listening to music would interfere with the process.
Cut rate psychoanalyst's room in Florida 😂
"...except for Sunday, of course."
He’s a real charmer..... Not
Draws himself with a big frowny face - I don’t know why people see me as gloomy. You what, Nick?
Balding cave
The bit when Luke says he’s bored is hilarious and adorable
