Sarah E. Korneisel Jaegers

Dr. Sarah E. Korneisel Jaegers is a solo, chamber, and orchestral clarinetist and clarinet teacher based in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. She is currently a faculty member at Youth in Arts, Amabile School of Music in Moraga, and Notes Music Academy in Oakland. She performs as a member of the Friedland Recording Ensemble and the DesertLake Duo. An international performer since 2011, Dr. Jaegers has toured in countries throughout Europe. She has a strong interest in world music, expansion of the clarinet repertoire, and diversification of the canon, particularly through the promotion of works by Turkish composers. She holds a DMA degree from The Ohio State University, an MM degree from Michigan State University (Dr. Guy Yehuda), and a BM and BA from Iowa State University. Principal teachers include Dr. Caroline Hartig, Dr. Guy Yehuda, and Dr. Gregory Oakes.

Speed up the playback speed and that's the perfect tempo for playing this etude.
What are you talking about? This is a study for tone, legato and expressive playing, not speed. It shouldn't be fast.
What's your setup? You play on a Francois Louis ligature as I see, what mouthpiece and reed you're using?
Dude, the Hite edition is the bomb! #1 is such a great study for tone work! I actually do use it at the slower end of that range; sometimes even slower. 😂 Cuz I’m nuts. 🤣
