Dr. Shannon MacLean is very professional and removes any fears you might have when facing hearing problems for the first time. A delightful setting and at the same time comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend The Hearing House.

It's a very good informative video. The only issue I have is that she says that he needs to hold up his "end of the bargain" by using the hearing aids. That's like when I've been told that I "need to comply" an issue I have with a cpap. It's his decision whether or not he uses the hearing aids or not.

I got MRSA in my ears when I was 6 months old, I had many surgeries to save my hearing. They saved half my hearing. (My parents taught me sign language because their was sill a chance I would go completely deaf) I have been noticing that my hearing has decreased within the year. My mother talked to me because she started noticing it and told me that there were good hearing aids out there and if I needed to get my hearing checked that she would make a call to the doctor. I’m thinking about it and wanted to see what getting a hearing aid was like if I did need one.

This guy is stupid and that hearing expert is b i t c h... If you ever thought about @volum controller " which attach to any hearing aids then you will realize you can wear CIC or IIC hearing aids instead of your behind ear hearing aids!!! Cause I have been wear hearing aids for 20 years and shat that b I t c h know about geared aid if she never wear hearing aids and I tried any type hearing aids so I can tell you that YOU Can wear any type hearing aids and has noting to do with your hearing levels. So you DECIDE.. Keep wear your behind ear hearing aids OR go to other hearing store and proudly wear CIC or IIC hearing which is hardly regonize.. Good luck from Asia somewhere....

    1. will it not irritate the back of the ear 2. should one use all the time or only when you need (while talking or hearing radion/tv) 3. do I need one or two for both ears

      1. no 2. all the time when you want to hear and it isn't raining. 3. You need 2 most likely, but only getting tested confirms that.

i just got new hearing aids today and im in the process of being in different environments to log in sound and have my follow up appointment a week later. there definitely needs to be some readjustments. one of the biggest things is that everything sounds like its next to me. things that are farther away sound like they are close by. i think right now sounds are over amplified and sound just a little drowned out from the noise reduction. my previous hearing aid sounded natural and not blurry. but the amplification was so low that i still had a hard time hearing.

I can't stand this ear wax nonsense. "Don't remove it unless it's a huge problem!" Umm... gross much? I clean my ears several times a week, otherwise they are just GROSS. I do it after my shower, so that the wax is warmed and easy to remove, it sticks easily to a gently used cue-tip. I wish we had ear cleaning services in the US, it would be very convenient and nice to have another option. I also can't stand water or solutions in my ear. It's messy, gets everywhere, and feels awful. And I've never had an issue with using cue-tips either, despite the dramatic protestations not to use them.
