This accordion player is from Ireland and is super great and super nice humble guy. Most claim he is one of if not the best to play diatonic accordion in this style or any other for that matter. True first class musician along with the other international musicians who did so amazing at their craft! Happy to know these guys and be friends with such amazing talented people.

I apologize for wrong picture. Aldus Roger is pictured and is not Sidney Brown.
Excuse me. Are you sure this isn't Sidney Brown? The singer sounds like Vinesse LeJeune
@@nealpomea2836 it’s off of an old Aldus record. Most think it’s a young Mann Abshire but I couldn’t say for sure who’s the singer but it’s surely Aldus.
🤘
Vielle musique Cadien, bien fait Travis.
🤘

Hi. This is irrelevant to this song but i couldnt post on another video. The 1971 video. I have biological family, Leonce Lebleu, and i would like to find out more info as i didnt grow up with biological mother who is also in the video. My bio grandmother is also but i dont who she is. If anyone could help that would be awesome.

I may be 37 years old but I was born and raised with this music in my veins I love this music so much
Merci monsieur belton richard pour votre bonne musique Bonjour de paris en france!
Wow...forgot how good Aldus was... Probably the GOAT.
I agree!
Belton was a league in his time and still remembered the greatest Cajun muisction
thank you for uploading this
He's just so yummy. Love this song . One of My favs
I’m from south Louisiana he wasn’t the only good musician in beltons time there was quite few great musicians in south Louisiana
tell us some names. i want to know some more good musicians like Richard's band.
I saw belton in person and yes he was a great musician and a great singer
When was this filmed? Amazing to hear these guys speaking fluent French.
I would guess early 80’s
@@travismatte Actually, when I scrolled down, I read that it was filmed in 1988. I'd love to step back in time and meet and talk with those wonderful folks of those times. They remind me so much of my beloved and departed relatives in Canada. I am glad that in Louisiana that there are great efforts to keep the language and culture alive.
It’s confusing as most of these were recorded in early 80’s but they played throughout the 80’s so some of the commercials are later on after the actual recording.
He was a great singer 👨🎤 I have never get to see him
I just wish I could have met belton Richard
Thanks so much for sharing this treasure| ❤
You’re very welcome. It’s hard to get better than Belton.
Brings back so many memories. Love it!
God Bless him Belton & all the guys ,just discovered Belton today in Ontario Canada and I’m blown away .He sings Lefty Frizzel ,Chuck Willis and those beautiful Cajun songs I can’t believe it I never heard of him up here in Hamilton Ont Canada Wow May he rest in peace
He has some of the best recordings in Cajun music. His vocals are superb. I played fiddle with him for 3 years in the 90’s and he was fun to play music behind.
I wish I could have met belton Richard
Splendide !♫♥♪
Outstanding! Thanks for posting this Travis!!!
There is actually another one I used to have of a different time there and can’t locate it.

Yes, channel 15 local channel.
Thanks for the upload. I’m really enjoying your new album with the 1960 dancehall tracks
Thanks, I appreciate it. Cajun music was my first love and there’s a lot of music I love but Cajun hits different. Belton is one of the best to ever do it.
@@travismatte yes sir, Love me some Belton. Listening to some Belton as we speak, enjoying a day off with a cold pop
@@travismatte I’m from southwest Louisiana and seen you play a dozen times. Appreciate you and your music too
Thanks, I appreciate it. Musician life isn’t the easiest but we love it.
My friend Larry Cormier can sing all of his songs 🎵
Nice song
Long live the king !
As a young, aspiring accordion player who grew up with a family who played, I can't thank you enough for providing this important piece of our culture for us to enjoy. The Baritone himself in all his glory. Thank you, T.
Thanks and yes he was and is a treasure to our culture. Glad you enjoyed it.

Merci! Merci! Merci!
Wow. Just wow. This is amazing. Thanks for this.
Wow, what a performance, thanks for uploading. Cajun music done right will always hit me right in the heart. Belton is very underrated in an underrated genre !
I agree! I’m working on a traditional style Cajun record as we speak. Belton was one of the best to ever do it and I was honored to have played with his group for 3 years. He was an amazing talent and left a huge music legacy.
@@travismatte So cool you played with him. What instrument ? I played guitar in a traditional cajun band in het late nineties.
I played fiddle in his band between 1996 till around 1999. Great memories and he treated me so great.

Belton in rare form, thanks for the upload.
"La Crêpe Bout du Chemin" or "Pancake Special"... due to so many calling the Wafus Two Step as "Waffle" Two Step. C'est vrai.
