What do you use to clean the glue off the paint brush?
I have a separate brush that I use for glue. It's just a cheap humbrol brush from the local store. I don't use anything to clean it, I just let the Extra Thin Clement evaporate of it.

You won't be disappointed. Thou the kit isn't its full potential as Wingnut Wing release. But still pretty darn good.

Is it the Kiwi accent? Us kiwis tend to talk fast.
I had no problem with the speech, but the volume and choice of the background music wanted me to leave the room, like at a fast food restaurant 😅

Nice work. I have found that the Quinta 3D interior decal set is far superior to the kit decals. They provide a real scale look. I also have the nose kit only as well as the full kit. So the nose kit will be my test for the full kit.
I am condsidering getting either a nose kit or the Dambusters boxing, but I think I would get a Qunita set for it.
You kept this channel quiet.
Depends on what you classifiy as quiet 😉 The Spitfire videos were shared on a few Facebook groups.
Like everyone else I'm looking forward to this build. Have a few other projects to complete first before I delve into mine, but that's going to give me a chance to see where your recommendations fall on this kit.
@RodLess, so far, I definitely would recommend the 1ManArmy paint masks. Depending on your location, the Airscale gauges, if you don't have a stockist near by the Quinta Set, could better option. For me to order and ship two Airscale sets, I'm not far off US$50, where the Quinta set is around $80, and you get more items that you can use.
@@FoxThreeScaleModels Quita set was the investment... I'm considering the OMA masks as well, in for a pound...
@@RodLees Totally, The carrier flim surrounding the Border decals are quite large, mask will lessen the chance of silvering
Nice work, I need to start mine at some point, might hit you up if I need anything :) Looks like it's all a good fit so far.
Do remember a few fit issues from the Wingnut Wings test shot for Telford in 2018, but I am yet to hit those areas.

Strange shade of green etch primer.
Its definely not your normal green that you would expect. But I trust Richard's at Kotare Models research. Its not very often he is wrong.

Hi Johan, I didn't apply any clear over the pigment. I normally pick up my aircraft models by the wing tips or by the middle of the fuselage so I don't rub any off.

Great build and tips here Dave - makes me want to get back to my Kotare Spit (which I've modified to inflight, just need to design a 3D printed mount for the electric motor) - especially liked how you used the Tamiya Spit masks as a base, I must look at Inkscape. BTW what camera and lights are you using to film this - its very good! Keep these videos coming please....cheers Chris
Heya Chris, Oh you should! Having built two, they are a complete joy and go together quickly. Looking forward to your solution for the mount. Just so you know, the kit prop shaft is slightly sloppy in the front once the fuse is glued. You will need to replace it or shim it out. Re Camera and lights, I am just using my Samsung S20FE to film at the moment and lights are these old Viltrox LL126VB LEDs. I've had the LEDs for about 10 years now and the emitters are now dying. I've just ordered myself two GVM 880RS lamps. Hoping they will be here tomorrow!
