Audi A3 8P P0238, 00568 Fix, Turbo Boost Sensor Repair
Here we will be replacing the turbo boost sensor in my 2009 Audi A3 8P. This repair works for any model year 8P A3 models and MK5 golfs. You may see an engine light with the following codes, P0238 or 00568 which is a result in the failing sensor, however if the issue persists after the replacement like it did in my case. Check your engine wiring harness for any damages which can cause these codes. In my case the cable for the turbo boost sensor was damage and some proper soldering fixed the issue.

Watch this good boy in slow mo (he seems mean but he’s actually a good boy)
Great job. I have just got myself an Audi A3 3.2. No armrest so was going to attempt the aftermarket fit. Guess I need to cut a hole in the centre console for it to fit into?
Scissors be like rn: 💀 😂😂😂
Good job. That car interior is really very nice, considering how old it is & the light color.
Excellent video! Thank you
Thanks for making this. Was incredibly helpful.
best video ever! thanks, like & subscribe for you
Wonder if a NA console works on a Euro, since the cupholder seems to be a bit more convinent then on a Euro car
Honestly I don't see why not 🤷♀️ but don't take my word for it😂
Thank you for making this video!!!!
Good job. Thank you for a good video
Hey great video, I have a petrol Audi A3 1.8 TFSI, it's the 3door 8P1 version, 2009 reg. I've been getting a load of p codes lately. P2015 , P0221 sensor B, and some others. She idles rough and revs jump up and down while stationary. I've noticed that the baro (inhg) reading is always the same at 29.4. it seems that the barometric doesn't change even if I'm accelerating or not. Is this normal?? I know the above codes don't relate to the baro sensor but I can't spot any vacuum leaks and all the pipes are ok. Any feedback you could give would help me out. Let me know please. Thanks Danny.
Hi Danny! The error codes your getting seem to implicate an issue with your intake manifold and throttle position sensor. A lot of the times these older 8P’s tend to have a lot of carbon buildup, so cleaning the manifold and throttle body can help. My audi used to have a rough idle and cleaning them helped a lot. However if its persistent then I would say its something with the sensors or wiring. For example in this video, even when I changed the sensor it didn’t fix the issue, some wires along the way were damaged, and soldering them back together helped with the issue and error codes. Also keep in mind, at least in my case, even if the wire has a minor knick in it, it will cause issues. I hope this helps!
also here are some links from audi forums with the similar issue www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/583891-P0221-throttle-pedal-position-sensor-switch-B-circuit-range-performance www.audiworld.com/forums/audi-a3-s3-rs-3-13/p2015-intake-manifold-runner-position-sensor-2896186/
i not found link from back emblem (logo id ) support .... where is ? in this video is only about logo not Fog Light Grille wtf
Thanks 👍
Love your channel, im about to buy an Audi A3 and do some modifications so please keep on posting ❤😂
Thank you! Definitely will, working on a modification video rn so stay tuned 😉
MAP sensor? Sensor se presion de aire atmosférico detecta a que presion de aire estas es por si el auto esta conduciendo en un montaña donde hay poco oxígeno o como esta la presion al menos eso entiendo yo..!! Typically found in fuel injected engines, the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor is one of the sensors an engine control module (ECM) uses to calculate fuel injection for optimal air-fuel ratio by continuously monitoring intake manifold pressure information. Google
where did you get those headlight and tail lights at! ive been looking everywhere for a set for my same car
i’m having trouble locating it on the 2.0 Tdi 8p do you know where it is can find it?
Wow, Super Duper! Thanks to you, I was able to change the parking brake warning light on my son's '11 A3 without being completely frustrated. Thanks so much for going to all the trouble to share your expertise!
Glad it helped!
Where did you get your honeycomb grill from, main grill and fog light?
The main grille is from eBay and the fog grill is from aliexpress. I don't have the exact listings that I bought from but if you search for it, it should be the first thing to pop up. Hope this helps!
Nvm my previous message, I found the exact listing and I posted them in my bio, you should be able to open them!
Pretty sure the German car uses metric fasteners… they are 8mm not 5/16 and all those connectors are meant to easily be done by hand, not broken with a flathead
I appreciate the advice! I am still learning😅
Is that 20” alloy wheel?
yep, although they're gone now 😅
This video was very helpful I’m waiting for a honey comb grill to be delivered then I’m going to attempt installing it lol
Same. Wierd. I-95 MUCH😂
Finally did the job this weekend. I had discovered I'd somehow misplaced/lost my T15 Torx screw bit... so that left me dead in the water. 2 day delivery from Amazon ($2 shipped w/prime) put me into action. I wrote out everything on paper as a guide after watching twice. A couple of things: 1) use painter's tape to cover your steering wheel airbag cover (it has soft metal accents) and also on the handbrake and shift knob, to avoid any scratches; 2) make sure you have a LONG extension for the hex bolt under the center dash. I didn't, and had to cobble together a few adaptors to finally reach it; 3) careful of the shift indicator bezel, as the plastic "U" clips are thin and brittle; 4) anytime you're dealing with a non-magnetic screw bit, be sure to have a cloth below to catch the bit or the screw/bolt in case it falls; and last, 5) have at least 2 small LED flashlights on hand, preferably one with a magnet surface, which are handy for focused illumination.
Do you know if this will work for the A3 quattro 2006? Thanks
The 2006 was the first year of the 8P. She lists this applicable from 2007 to 2013, but I think it should apply to the 2006 as well. I've seen the interior of the 2006 and it looks identical to the 2007.
It should be the same, as stated by @cytherians the 06 was the first 8P, I forgot to put 06 in my title!
@@cytherians It wasn't. I have a 2004 Audi A3 8P 3.2
After fruitless searching for a video like this, YOU have made my day, CLEAR -- CONCISE AND NOT HURRIED AT ALL well done that lady 😊 😇 😎
Thank you for creating this! For the longest, I've been looking for a visual on how to do this. The cupholders on the Audi A3 8P are not the greatest.
I’ve been looking forever for this exact description. My carpet is trashed and nothing else I’ve found shows how to remove the console so I can replace it. Thanks!
Tall audii
A video on Headlining Removal would be great.. thanks.
really good video and description on removal of trim...You only need to push the electrical connectors with fingers and pull to remove. The Triangles are called Centre Console Grab Handles...Thanks and again great Tutorial..
Thanks for the tip! Also I could not figure out the name for those for the life of me😅, thank you!
@@retroaudis There's a guy in Poland who makes aftermarkets of these in a variety of themes, including perforated leather. They look really sharp. If my A3 8P wasn't so long in the tooth (2007, 98k miles), I'd get a pair.
Great Video!!! I have been wanting to change out my trashed cup holder but I had no idea how to remove the center console... and you nailed it! Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Hi, did you buy the emblem mount separately? If so, can you tell us where you bought it as I would like to replace my mount with the same one as yours.
I got it on ebay! it came from the UK and I live in the US and it only took about a week and half to get it, here’s the link => www.ebay.com/itm/373535694690?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=byywufxtsqa&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=1lrEvLKhQJu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@retroaudis you are the best! i;ve been looking for this for a long time :)

This reminds me when I was in stem class we put a wire in the outlet and it exploded we got suspended for 2 weeks 😂
Put it in the live plug
Lol the room went dark
You can hear everyone gasping at the end lmao
Why does every fucking person do this in school or like a public place
Me and my cousin did that this year and i got in trouble and bullied
Good
how the hell did you get bullied? for being stupid?
Funny love your dog
I just did this and with metal scissors with my friend and that shit sparked
Are u dead
A kid I know in my JROTC class decided to be a dumbass and mess with a light switch by putting a paperclip under it. Needless to say, sparks flew everywhere, the light turned off, and he goes jumping back. I don't think he's coming back to the Raider team for a while. It might be a little awkward when he shows up for class tomorrow.
Did it get awkward
@@Jaimyhouterman now that's the question 4 years in the making
I did this shit this year 5 times at school and the whole schools power shut off I was laughing my ass off lol
Dumbass
Too bad it didn’t kill you the first time 🤷🏽♂️
