Geo Land: The Dream Traveller Any% in 24:51 (World Record)
Maybe uploading a heartbreaking loss at the end of an insane pace was just the setup i needed to then be graced with this unbelievable run. Very few execution errors on my part, and just about the best luck you could ask for at almost every point. I'm glad I got this time after setting up the input display, because it's good for the viewers when I'm moving around with the menu covering the screen that they know what I'm doing. I did mess up my stream layout and covered the final split, but just know the time I was comparing against was the previous WR of 27:21.
Pre-library was very good, getting to Pagnon Village was the best you could ask for. I was mad about running into a champion Strio...

okay... final 10 minute barrier for REAL this time, i tested around with the quit glitch and theres no way that you can skip any of the other scrolls... unless you can just walk through walls or something :P i missed a pretty simple quest storage for the spinex quest to save time not having to kill 8 jerats, but i actually had an even better idea. why not just use the 3 strio quest from the lib...

You can now skip the scroll of fire. And so, you can use the boss key from the sacred library in the Bhava Hideout instead! This allows you to skip all of Bhava Remains, and despite having to set up the wrongwarp twice to do all the quests to unlock the path to Pagnon Village, it's still much faster than having to go through that stupid dungeon. This is a pretty good run for not having practice...

well... here it is! geo land the dream traveller beaten in under 40 minutes! it's hard to believe that the time of the first gltdt any% run i uploaded to youtube has been nearly cut in half. each 10 minute barrier has always felt great to surpass, and this very well might be the last one. unless i find a way to skip stupid bhava remains! the run was going amazing up until i got to the desert......

i was going to make a silly over the top thumbnail like i have in the past, but i think that should be saved for a certain 10 minute barrier... the crux of this WR is going to the cemetery early to do the quests there to be a much higher level for the earlier dungeons, as well as going for poison stab instead of mass shield when getting new attacks. unfortunately, getting the random encounters ...

this run was SO cracked... not an ideal start, but once i saved a bunch of time in pagnon tree, i knew there was potential if i could pull off the rest of the execution and got good enough luck with keys in bhava remains. and thats exactly what happened! now i can really be satisfied with my any% time :D if everything goes according to plan, i will be streaming glitchless runs on twitch very so...

beating bowser in the level editor takes you back to the title screen, so it counts as beating the game....... right? bowser is tile 383. the big mario state is achieved by changing the 3rd number of the level code to 1 instead of 0. this messes with the state you enter the level at. could be optimized, but... why would you?

very interesting run. getting a sword from a champion darkseed certainly helped with the early game lol. forest was p good, tree went very well, crypt was ok, took a while to get keys in bhava remains but had a great kingsphynx fight to make up for it. and at this point at least, beating geom is good enough for me even if its a bit slower. 2:0X:XX should be pretty attainable as long as i dont j...

did this run while visiting family so no voice until the end im really upset about this run. idk what happened to me in bhava remains, i was so shook up by getting keys relatively quickly and then i lost focus and got mixed up in where i was in the dungeon completion process... this had 47 potential i feel honestly. what's even worse is that i had a god pace earlier in the day and lost it by ge...

very little went wrong in early game. got through library very quickly, sub 11 signals very good luck. then i incorporated some new strats for pagnon tree. by doing an extra fight vs a tripenti if you get a key from a normal spinex, it gives you an enemy thats more likely to drop a key during grinding. unfortunately i messed up the block pushing room a couple times which was probably the worst ...

Thank you!!! the any% route of this game has come a very long way, and if i had any kind of video creating/editing knowledge i would definitely make one of those "speedrun explained" videos... but if youre interested i can give you tips to pull off these glitches yourself!

Where do you play it bc I played it on one site and it lagged

@@sillyworm4081 Actually, I watched your playthrough and solved the puzzle inside the pyramid. I wondered if no boss would come out when I opened the boss's chest. At that moment I didn't save. Luckily I beat it with lv15 and two meats only.
cool. if youre fighting bosses at that low level i bet you could speedrun this game! also, the champion king sphynx is different from the one in bhava remains. it's a secret boss in the cemetery.

@@penguinhin4589 I think to get in there and start the rune of nightmare quest chain you have to talk to Tamir (guy in the cemetery who cant sleep) or the crypt keeper. I might be remembering wrong tho

I use standalone adobe flash player, and i had the game's .swf file downloaded. many flash speedrunning communities can help you get standalone flash player as well as .swf files.
