Terex Tandem tts-14's

Just raw footage of one cycle. Pan section was delivered at 10 am. Hooked up and running by 11am. You can hear the rock breaking in the background, did not expect to run the tandem here. We are hoping to get a solid week of running before we uncover more rock. This tractor went from burning 11 gals/ per hour to 18/gals per hour. But production doubled. Love the sound of Those Detroit Engine's Anyway this is a first for me , This Terex doesn't seem to have any Trouble pulling that extra scapper yes the extra engine makes the difference, & What a difference Unbelievable , 😂

How do they haul that rig?
Machine is split in 2 pieces at the gooseneck. We load the trailer with a track loader. Takes about an hour to put back together.

I would love to see a triple in action. I saw when in Wisconsin when they were building Interstate 94 when I was maybe 10-12 years old in the northern part of the state.

We only let the tandems self load, you could push the trailer off if not level. We put push blocks on the center, so the trailer can be dropped and front push loaded if needed. They are still running in 2022

@@Acoustic_Theory we have 5 tractors. 3 are running. one could be with a little time and money. the 5th one we are using as a parts machine

Just Awesome to see a set (TTS-14) of these still running in 2021! Use to run TS-14s and TS-18s. Would love to have had seat time even to have seen one of these sets would have been a treat. Thanks for posting . I really appreciate it!

Super cool to see these rare pieces still paying the bills! Surprisingly maneuverable for the size and length. Euclid /Terex were very advanced scrapers back in the day. They sold tons of them.

Back in the 1960's there was a contractor in the open western states using a set up like this Euclid only it had triple bowls.

I remember seeing these working in 1960's building interstates. Would be fun to try to operate.

@@mattbeckmann8101 Gotcha. Really stoked these old girls are still making bank. Made my day knowing they are still around. Retired operating heavy equipment after thirty years. Not once running across Terex tadem pans. Really really stoked. Please make more videos of the machines. If it's not a pain. Would you do a walk around video of your tandem scrapers ? What state are you in ?

Would like to see that guys footwork - I believe a foot throttle for each engine
They have three engines. A dimmer switch changes control to center or rear tractor. Front engine is always engaged
@@mattbeckmann8101 My wife's uncle had a dirt moving company in Memphis Tn - Cat dozers (even bought backhoe from Cat when Cat sold JCBs) but TS14 scrapers. Played with one for half hour - two foot throttes. So tandems - used engine of bowl being loaded. Cool
