Hot For Teacher - Eddie Van Halen Tribute #vanhalen

Tuesday I felt like I got punched in the stomach. I spent the rest of the day with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Diver Down was one of the first cassette tapes I ever had (I was probably 11) and I completely wore the tape out inside of 6 months. He had swing, groove, impeccable phrasing and while everyone always comments on the notes that he did play, he was a master of when not to....
Adding Passing Tones To Pentatonic Guitar Licks

Here are a couple of fun ways to spice up your pentatonic phrases utilizing some passing tones borrowed from other modes. Stay safe out there everyone!
Stacking Pedals || Wampler Mini Ego - Friedman Dirty Shirley & Maxon OD808
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.4 года назад
Having some fun stacking some pedals. I used my Suhr Classic S, my Suhr Classic T Antique and my hot-rodded Suhr JM. The clean guitars were the UAD PT100 and STL Tones Andy James plugins paired with the Wampler Mini Ego, the dirty rhythm guitars were played through the UAD Suhr SE100 plugin and the solo was a Fender Super-Sonic 60 head into a Suhr Reactive Load.

Ice tone
incredible !!!!!
Thank you!
3 things... Number 1 you have a insane amount of gear. number 2 playing that on a Gibson is insane. number 3 Being able to play that as well as you did after a injury in inspiring. Was a awesome cover , keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! The injury was definitely a little scary since I have to play guitar so much for work, but I’m slowly recovering and feeling more like myself. Hope to be to 100% soon
Amazing vibrato!
Thanks for checking it out!
One of the best versions of this I have herd!
Thanks!
It's among the best I've ever seen
Sick guitar!! Awesome sound!!
Thanks!
Beautiful ❤️
Such a beautiful guitar😍😍 now put emgs in it
Not in this one, but I do have several guitars with EMG’s. I’m definitely a fan of them.
Really good bro, and what a guitar wow.
Thanks! It’s definitely a bit of a hotrod at this point. I had it refretted with jumbo stainless steel frets, put in a set of Suhr Aldrich pickups, a TonePros bridge and I have a set of Hipshot locking tuners that just arrived for it.
great one! you have my dream gear with the les paul custom+wizard^^ love it
It took me over 20 years to track down this Wizard, so don't stop dreaming! Yours is out there.
Still shredding, my man. Great to hear.
Absolutely crushed it! Nasty as always, good sir.
I’m no Jon Romerosmith, but I try!
Well done!
Can't imagine how you broke your wrist
Bro starts it off with a pinch harmonic 💀
Beautiful solo, very good demo. What is the name of the backing track ?
Thanks so much. That was something I put together for this video. Programmed strings and Toontrack drums.
excellent demo. no talk. you took it through its versatility and the great playing was just icing on the cake. much appreciated.
Best pedal I own
It’s hilariously good.
Bro your playing reminds me of some Cultes des Ghoules type metal, sounds evil af but also vintage af. Like if Hellripper or Aura Noir had existed in 1973.
🤘🤘
❤👸
Hell yeah 🤟
🤘😎🤘
how are the wizard cabinets?
They’re great. Mine is loaded with 6402 cone Greenbacks and it sounds awesome. Really rugged construction akin to my Mesa 4x12.
Sounds great, Juan!
Thanks!
Nasty
Very Dragon ball Z!!!!!! Well done! 🎉
Sounds solid! Nice video 😻🐦
Great riffing!
Dude, that splawn sound better than ya wizard.
That Splawn is my favorite amp of all time.
Genial!!
EL34's?
Yep!
Great stuff thanks!! How does the Spawn compare to the Wizard MC II?
They're similar for sure. They're both tight, punchy, percussive Marshally flavors that cover a lot of ground. The Wizard is very open sounding with very little compression. It's an unforgiving but extremely rewarding amp. The Splawn has a little more compression going on than the Wizard, but infinitely less than something like an EVH 5150. Both take drives/boosts well and they're my two favorite amps that I own. If you like the way that Wizards sound, but also like how Friedmans sound, the Splawn is kind of in the middle between them.. leaning more toward the Wizard. It's a great all-around British voiced amp.
@@JuanCanteli Nice! Which model Splawn are we talking about? Also what's your scoop on lesson?
@@cragginshred The one I'm using in the video is a Quick Rod. I've had a few QR's over the years and really dig this 2009. The 2005 I had was excellent as well, and was a little more aggressive and barky. I also had a Splawn Nitro that was really cool, that was kind of a mix of a 2203 and a Rectifier. I prefer the Quick Rods, but the Nitro is also a great amp. I've taught in music schools, lesson studios and music stores for the last 20 years or so, and since things initially shut down during the pandemic, I've been teaching online via Zoom. I do everything from breaking down songs and solos, to working on technique, music theory, songwriting etc. It's a blast.
Does it have good sustain Nd clarity at low gain?
I’ve had great luck with it for lower gain tones.
Sick riff
Thanks!
Did you adjust the internal gain pot at all for this demo video? Sounds great!
Thanks! The internal trim pot is in factory, center position. Plenty of range to turn it up or down.
Dont go by the demos, try the pedal yourself...they never sound the way they do in demos, that's all pedals not just this one.
Absolutely take the pedal for a spin in person if you can, but there isn't any sorcery going on here. Just the pedal plugged into a a Fender Super-Sonic.
@@JuanCanteli your playing is awesome, just meant try the pedal first.ive been playing since 78 metal and thrash.have always used a rat boosted with a tubescreamer coming through the clear channel of a fender 100 watt solid state.i see some demos where the rat sounds amazing and some where it sounds like crap.its the player, pedal, amp and guitar combined to see if the pedal is right for your own gear and style
Best demo of this pedal. Every other demo all doing metal noises, this shows the versatility n cleaner aspects the pedal can produce...very nice I bought one since this video to show versatility....
Thanks! While it does the heavy stuff exceptionally well, there are some other great tones in there that I think often get overlooked.
