Thank you for sharing this. As a beginner some of ways in which I am trying to develop my OSINT mindset is through reading books , practicing through courses like Kase Scenario, and joining webinars hosted by different OSINT communities that share their methods, and thought process in an investigations. The book I am currently reading is the "Psychology of Intelligence Analysis" by Richard J. Heuer which really opened my eyes to a lot of things I didn't think were important. I am always open to any other suggestions, reading materials that you or anyone in the OSINT community may recommend.

Great question. When you find Facebook Marketplace listings, they will include the location where the item is available, indicating where the person is located.
Can this tool find the original EXIF in the image?
Yes, Forensic OSINT will automatically analyze all images for EXIF information. But it is rare when this information is found as most websites now strip this information on images uploaded by users. But it can still be found in some circumstances.

Used OfferUp and FB marketplace in a missing person’s case I volunteered in recently. The victim had just stopped posting items for sale the day before they vanished. I even tried to make offers on items to see if someone was responding on the other end. Unfortunately, it all ended pretty tragically.

Hi Amaury - Do you mean the notes you enter in the Forensic OSINT CMS? If yes, we don't currently include those notes in the downloaded results, but it is planned in a future release.

Almost anything is possible with OSINT. But it depends on the digital footprint the person has left online and what you can see in the photos.

We plan to add it in the future, but it is not currently on our development schedule as we have a lot of other amazing features to add. Is there something that stops you from using Chrome? If yes, we would love to understand the reason to see if this could be an issue for others.
@@ForensicOSINT While Chrome is a popular browser, I’ve personally opted for Firefox for a few reasons: Mainly because of privacy, I've always been told that Google is watching you. As Google primary goal is advertising, which involves collecting user data. This can be a concern for users who prioritize privacy. FireFox is Open Source which means its code is publicly available for review. This fosters trust and community contributions. I've noticed that most Linux distro comes with FireFox as default browser, there is a reason behind this choice. Chrome is a wonderful browser if you value vast library of extension and extensive integration with Google services. But, be prepared for higher resource usage and potential privacy concerns. If you prioritize privacy, a lighter resource footprint and support open-source. Firefox is a great choice.
