I miss you Eddie. RIP 😢
Hi please can you advise the motor and prop specs ? And is this a 4s set up ? Thanks
Your friendly neighborhood NastyDogface here.... Either there is a delay on posted responses, or something else is preventing me from replying to you on the other conversation. I don't have steam, but I'll install if necessary. Wife bought a ps5 for xmas, and I can find you there, or else I'm on some of the other shit... facebook etc. Hello to Angry white tshirt, if he's still roaming free. Would steam be the most logical?
Yoooooooooooo! Hit me on Steam: syNflux

This is the flying rookie, did you quit flying?
Hey! Nah just took a step away for a minute =P
@@SYNFPVPILOT Well , me in the other hand I haven't post anything for 8 years , in part because I quit the hobby back in 2016 and the other part is that although I went back to the hobby in late 2019 I lost access to my YT channel 5 years ago , I just recovered like a week ago , change the name and ill be posting new content soon .
@@SYNFPVPILOT BTW I'm glad to hear from you again , I live near Atlanta GA now but in late August ill be on vacation in the north east for a over a week , I'm looking forward to see you again at the wind tunnel , take care and have a good one .
did you have wheel encoder? how gps so accurate
RIP. I miss you Eddie.
That's me nine years ago!
Please share it's making video
I want to make UGV, how to start? I already made my UAV.
Now that is cool👍. Does that thing have a car battery in it......LOL. I'm working on a 1/10 scale TRX-4 right now.
Wow that place is magical! Where on earth is it? I want to go!
Is that frame from a golf-caddy?
Negative. Frame is a Razor Dirt Quad.
Dude! I remember when this happened. Let's get back to the sod farm sometime!
Where u been? Long time!
SYN FPV Moved to Colorado in 2013! Still flying man. I’ll hit you up when I’m back in NY
Damn that's a blast from the past :) I remember watching this and getting an adrenaline rush lol
Wasn't there also onboard recording on this one? Or was that a different flyer? I seem to remember seeing video of a similar flight where the plane got sucked into an updraft and spat out the top of the cloud, and you could see the top of the thunderhead for a few minutes before the onboard camera shut down from the cold.
Excellent memory. Yes there was an 808 wing cam that caught the approach into the storm, a ton of wind, rain and banging around inside it and a few serene minutes on top before it iced up. I'll upload.
@@SYNFPVPILOT You should look into making an updated version of the video with the two feeds merged into one. When the main camera goes static you could zoom or wipe to the onboard so that there is always some video. Especially the part where you lose ground video. Man, I miss the early days of FPV. The adventure and crazy shit we all did. I kind of bailed on FPV when the regs got onerous and the feds went insane with the jackbootery. Now that things have calmed down a bit I think I might get back into it.
Ah, the good old times. 😊
Do you have the flight path files from ardupilot ? I would be amazing to see how the plane climbed on a google earth map..
Yes. Hit me at psylokz at gmail
I still remember this back on FPVLAB! lol I was telling someone about it not long ago.
Memoreeeeeeezzzz =)
@@SYNFPVPILOT Yep, good times for sure! I still think about this video from time to time... lol
Hello Sir. how are you ? I now is very long time ago you did this video but i want to ask you if i can add a avoid device to this board or other pixhack and what settings should I use. Thank you. I have HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Range Sensor. and my board is Pixhack 2.8.4 Pro 32bit Flight Controller hope fully you can help.
Hi very nice rover. I am also currently building one. as a platform I also have a children quad. at the moment I am dealing with the question of how you have solved the control of the linear drive for the steering. Can you tell me how you solved that from the pixhawk?
I think He used an old servo pcb and a linear Poti so its like a Standard servo control
Very nice. What is it for a Frame ?
I realize that this video is quite old but it's really impressive! Do you have any more video of the camera pointing at the rover? I'd like to see some video that isn't FPV.
Hey man, long time! I've revisited this rover and changed a few things. More video coming this week and I'll get some better shots of the setup.
Hello sir, it's a very interesting project, can I contact you to do some small discussions
how much distance does it reach?
We had decent line of sight and reached over a mile at this location using 1280MHz and a crosshair for video, UHF for control.
Where did you get those wheels?
Will give $50 bucks for wiring diagram for this !! anyone.
How can I chat with u. Personally ?
Hi, im building an ardurover of my own, may i ask for advice?
what is the motor on this. ...Power rated?
Some skilled flying there. Almost as good as me 😂 Can I ask what motor/prop combo ur using ? It's heaps faster than my 1800kv on 4s with 6x5 prop.
Hi would you be able to share some details on the new motor. Looks like it has plenty of power. Currently looking for a motor for my bot. Cheers
Looking for people to help with an open source project. It's a land drone built to selectively spray weeds in the field. Open sprayer is the name of the project.
That sounds really fun
Great video man, i actually gonna built like that one too for my assigment, but i don't know how to set up the gps and the waypoint, (btw i think i'm gonna use ublox neo 6 for gps). i just can't understand the description that you wrote, if you just could give us what tools that you used and it's name, it would be very much appreciate it, thank you
Woow! Well done) Have it a brake system?
What kind of linear actuator did you use? Cool build!
Jeremy Bass Thanks! Firgelli 12v 200lb 2" feedback rod linear actuator. 2yrs and still working well.
Awesome! Thanks so much for the specific answer. I am currently building one of these vehicles for my graduate thesis project. My goal is to make something people can experience. Your project is inspiring! How did you interface the actuator with the pixhawk? Thanks.
I´d love to know that too!
Nice vid! I've been looking for a Razor Dirt Quad for 3 weeks now, Ha, ha! Pixhawk ready. Thanks for the upload.
Gary Olson It's been a great project, do it! Check out the apps Let Go and Offer Up on your phone. I've seen a few of them go for around $100!
Thanks, I will do it. We saw the video of the kids in the wagon! Your daughter is my granddaughter Kaylee's twin! Our son, her dad almost fell over when we watched your vid! Very cute kids! We are lucky too! ruclips.net/video/sdSGfM9Wjvw/видео.html
How much to buy one of these? Is there a website to buy them on? Thanks
Lol
Ha ha ha, game over, nice ride ! !
Can you give me a link of your car frame ? Appreciate it!
Jae XiDa Sure. Frame is a modded Razor Dirt Quad. This is a popular ride-on and parts are available everywhere.
What actuator did you use for steering? Thanks!
Is there a build video for this? Where did you get the chassis from, or did you build it from scratch. looks great.
hi i am also working on it but no suitable chassis found yet.
Very nice! What camera did you use?
hello sir how can i connect a 2 wire small dc motor to pixhack thank you
You need an ESC to provide power to your motor, controlled by the pixhawk
Wow - that's sick! it's a HUGE motor.
Hi. Awesome robot! I've got the same one. b.t.w. If you take that lame 24v engine motor, and bolt it to the steering shaft with a servo drive, you can get all the power & speed to steer it without using that slow wheelchair-ramp actuator. You can use a cheap brushless R/C airplane motor with a $15.00 reversible esc - and you'll be able to launch wheelie's with it.
Erich Stein I'm not sure I understand what you're describing. The Leeson 1/2 HP motor produced over 35mph @36v with different sprockets using a Vyper controller. Ended up bringing it back to 24v w/ a Syren50 and gear ratio @6:1 as the wheelbase is just too short and it keeps flipping at anything over 15mph. Incredible torque now and ideal for autonomous missions.
Erich Stein Faster steering not needed. @140lbs, strength and reliability with an actuator.
Yes, your right. It's not like it's easily possible to make this actually go fast.
I'm sorry, this was my ignorant mistake. The "LAME" 24v razor scootor motor, I was talking about. I can now see the the LEESON motor you are using, looks impressive! I found the same motor 24v, 17.5 lbs-torque @ 20 amps.
Dope af
Very smooth utilisation of the 360cam👍
#5: like it !
