Kevin Shine bowled me a bouncer in 1990 when he was playing for Reading CC. I was only 17 and It was quite quick. Not a lot of people will ever want to know that.

Sadly, gone are the days of taking cricket to the outposts. Swansea has been jettisoned, as has Colwyn Bay. Too far for the Capital City crew to travel. Neath has a few crumbs off the table, and that's it. I refer to Glamorgan CC, as Cardiff CC. That's more in line with reality.
Maynard’s batting in the gloom on day two was extraordinary. Admittedly the rest of the Somerset attack wasn’t up to much, but Caddick was the best seamer in the country, and Rose very useful too.
Great to see a young Waqar Younis
He had been playing international cricket for almost 10 years at this point.

Why Wales doesn't make it's own national cricket team?
Because Glamorgan is already the national team of Wales. If Wales set up an international side a) they wouldn't be very good but also b) it would mean Glamorgan couldn't play in the County Championship.
@@WilliamSmith-mx6ze it doesn't matter, national team is all that matters. They can set up a 6 team first-class, T20 and test tournament. Welsh players are not getting chances in England. And they'll do as well as bangladesh, West Indies, Ireland, Scotland, Namibia, Nepal.

Zimbabwe had a very good team in the mid to late 90’s. Especially in their own country. I think England were unfairly criticised in those 2 test matches.

Brilliant stuff. I'm on this. Final minute of the video. You can see me waking past Viv and Matthew with a camera. I just said I was filming and I was able to walk through the Glamorgan dressing room and onto the balcony. Great times.

Did BBC Wales actually broadcast highlights of the preceding days' play? (I can't recall them doing so, but it was a long time ago!). Either way, I'm afraid the five videos that are currently on this channel are all I have (I actually converted my original VHS recordings to DVD back in 2005 - and uploading them to RUclips has been on my 'to do' list for the past 15 years!).
