Gear + Credenza = GEARDENZA! Camera gear storage solution.
Просмотров 744Год назад
With great camera/video gear comes great storage solutions... and I needed some. I wanted something that was strong, functional, and also looked like a modern piece of furniture. Here's the end result. All-in I spent about $430. Tools used: Drill, phillips driver bit, drill bits, step up drill bit, hammer, and a skill saw. bro you re fucking genuis
Really nice work. I’m also interested in using filing cabinets for camera gear since they’re so easy to find.
Awesome thanks for a great idea
Hi
And you had a link to Be Thou My Vision. Love that !
Those are cool. Thanks for the how to. Nice Piano playing too!

The wax paper is cheap enough to not worry about cutting it to tube width, can just unroll the length you need and roll it up which will keep it nice and tight in the tube as it naturally tries to unroll
Also consider using FROSTED ACRYLIC ROUND TUBE and wrapping your led strip around a dowel mounted in the tube.
nice idea but video lacks in how u go about synching colors
Cool idea. I might have to try this!
MIND BLOWN.
Very creative
Great tube ❤ The Govee led stripe adressable , with apps controle are better choice 😊 then use a remote
Is there for bakkies also you can make to put on you bumper?
Can someone tell me where to located the clear PVC pipe? I've found some online but shipping is wild for it. My local Lowes/Home Depot don't carry it at length
how bright are they compared to a T8 30 watt? thank you, great video
I think if use proper grit sand paper, it will make those pipes look matted. But more hand work needed.
is there a way to control to color/dimming of the lights all at once instead of juggling 4 remotes? like an app or something?
The LED light kits that I found all work off of the same remote and if the receiver is visible or not blocked/too far away, I found that you can change all 4 at the same time. I know some LED kits come with an app feature but I don’t think these do. But again they all work using only 1 remote.
@@TaborJPhotoFilm awesome, thanks so much I appreciate the insight, and love this video!
Super!
Thanks!
Very nice bro!! Questions: Did you put the wax paper all around the tube and are all of the lights linked together. What if you have them super far apart from each other like in your intro?
Yes, the wax paper is all around the outside (messier and less professional but I couldn’t think of a way to adhere the led strip inside with the paper also). Each light is separate with its own power cord and control. The same remote works for all 4 lights. Then I just ran extension cords to them.
The seagull shot at 1:25 is pretty cool!!
Thanks man!
I used frosted tubes for mine. The pvc elbow is a great idea and cheaper.
Where did you get frosted tubes?
@@djtecthreat Home Depot. I've also seen people put the wax paper inside the tube.
@@flyrobin2544 i've search every possible name on HoPo...what's the frosted tube called? (brand and item name, thx)
I love this video! Best diy for these i have seen- the stands make all the difference!
Thank you. Yes, the bases work great!
Finding these t12, 8 foot tubes, without buying 12 or 24 for hundreds, has been a challenge in the last few years
Not sure if you’re in the USA or not. So many items have changed with shipping worldwide issues… with that said, I just walked into Home Depot 2 weeks ago and they had several of these tubes that I had bought previously. You can buy them individually from HD if your in the States.
how could you get them to flash randomly or 1 by one like in a techno club? Would love to integrate this in my music studio. Where led tubes flash from front to back
I think you’d have to get one of those pi controllers and program it for that or get led strips that change with music… honestly that’s above my knowledge. Best of luck!
Looks fantastic!!
Thank you!
Love this!
Hey ! I'm a little late but what is the size if your base ? And what type of wood is best for the base ? Thanks!
Base size I believe was 12" x 12", and I used two layers of 3/4" plywood, but you can use any wood that will ensure a sold/sturdy platform. Hope that helps!
I hope I'm able to one day get my camera work to be at least half as good as yours!
Oh you will for sure! Try, try, try. And get hands on experience with your gear. RUclips tutorials can only go so far lol. Try more angles, heights, close, wide, etc. VARIETY is a key piece that keeps your views entertained. Keep it up!
You have no idea with my business how this is a game changer aka.$$$$$$$$$thank u
Holy wow.. this looks awesome. Looking for a DIY solution now that I have my full frame and my 20 mil!
This was great.
Fckn genius! Good job bro!
Brooooo…this was ingenious! Such a simple set up but so effective. Thank you sharing this. I’m going to give it a shot and see how it comes out! Thanks again.
Oh thanks! Let me know how it turns out!
.WAO. congrats for having a very rewarding journey, everything is great, i'm vietnamese, i want to make friends i hope you don't refuse, thank you, wish you success
Love this! Thanks for sharing Myakka's Magic!
use to live there as a kid.
another easy product to use is PEX tubing, its used for water/plumbing applications, they have white, red and blue. it is frosted and you cant see the individual led's. most home improvement stores sell it in 4' 8' 12' and 25ft rolls. i got a roll trying to save a few bucks, but had to use a heat gun to straighten it (it was a pain) i recommend buying the pre curb straight pieces. i got the cheapest led light strip i could find, since i originally did this for xmas lights under the overhang on my house, but you can still see them 100ft away at the street due to the glow.
Can use a fog or haze Machine on it and would it bun the paper?
I’ve never tried, but I doubt it.
Looks like a place Tom and I will need to go for a walk. 😊
For sure!
I want this bag just cuz it looks so functional for so many things!! Very informative video showing all the features really well.
Thanks! Yeah I love this bag. Unfortunately the company webpage is down and not currently selling this bag any more it seems like. They said the bags are made in small batches in NY, so I hope they plan to make more.
What did everyone do with the excess LED lights? We have approximately 4 feet extra. I bought what was in the description
An idea might be to pull them through the bottom and cover with electrical tape.
@@KCHunter That might cause overheating and shutdown. Better to trim the strips to size, then use the extra under shelves to cast a wall glow. requires soldering wires or attaching clamp connects onto one end of strip, then jumper wires to an LED controller module, then connect to 5v power [or appropriate voltage for your strip] by way of any old charger with 300 or greater milliamps.
@@jephbennett good idea
What happens when you don’t have diffusion paper? Too bright or does the light just shine too crazy when recording?
The individual led lights will show instead of being defused as one solid light tube
@@TaborJPhotoFilm ty!! 🙏
That’s insane!! Totally worth it
That's so cool!! I've been driving myself crazy trying to find this end result as an already made product after seeing it in so many videos. Now I know how to make them :)
Good luck. They’re fun to make.
Love you bro!🔥
this is amazinggggg!
Thanks!
daym this is dope ye !!
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it.
Hey I’m in the process of making two of this lights tubes but quick question did you double up the lights in each tubes?
I did not. But if you have some wire and can cut then solder them so they can be mounted side by side, that would be best.
