Hi Tim, I asked the question about the perlite to reduce the weight of the container. Since then, I have done some research and found that some people use something called styrofoam packing peanuts to fill the bottom half of the container. I plan to do it in September and will mix the soil with perlite. The plants I have are hydrangeas, azaleas and knockout roses and I don't believe the roots go down very far.

i'd put down fertilizer first -- so you're not walking over weed the preventer getting on your yard shoes. For Dimension -- if you have Japanese stiltgrass (maybe nutsedge also) put it down (mid atlantic DC area) by the equinox.. which comes a day early this leap year March 19. I'm not sure about using Tenacity timing and application - it's rather expensive for those with smaller lawns.

I'm not encouraging it, but I've backwashed my saltwater pool directly into my yard for years and have had no problems. In fact, the area where the filter output hits the grass has some of the healthiest grass in my yard. Keep in mind that pool saltwater is quite diluted and has only 10 percent of the salt concentration of ocean water.

This is NOT what I need to get. I wanted to find the program and listen to everything they cover. This is too much lawn advertising and not enough of the wider coverage of other things to me.

I would like to see the prill size changed for Dimension ... something in the 150 SGN size

I love the Barenbrug seed with Turf Trust. I transformed my lawn using this seed last year - lots of neighbors stopping by to ask what I was using. In the summer, however, I started getting light brown areas thinking it was grubs, but the issue I found out was that I was cutting the grass too high (because it was so thick!) for too long and it was matting in those areas. I recommend cutting it high for a few cuttings in the spring, but going back to normal ~3 inches going forward until September.
