Stunning, I may well need that seat!
@@dennismoor2767 it's a great seat with view's of the tree's, the seas behind them 😄
Beautiful, thank you. Not a walk I have done so on the list for next time on IOW.
@@dennismoor2767 it's quite a good walk however this is facing ventnor, behind me is the hill path and that lead's to niton. It's great walk with great views 😊
Shocking!!!!!! 😮
You should see it now, the entire road has collapsed in on itself and half of the garden and woodland behind has bulged towards the house.
Not one cloud! No respite from the heat! Ditto for Eastbourne. We only ever see it like this in the Midlands if it's 30+. Plenty of cloud here today and 27 degrees! yesterday is was cloudy all day and still very very warm.
It's been nuts mate honestly but in a good way 😁 I moved from the midlands to here and it's just what was needed. There's a scarcity of cloud here and next to no breeze .
@@allenwood9967 Lucky you. I'd love to move. This place is full of cloud. Not so bad today but generally it's always cloudy in the central belt of the UK. Hardly any cloud in SE corner and IOW. I'll be down there in less than two weeks. I'll give you a wave when I'm walking down Undercliff Drive!
@@garethbramley1 there's been a share of mixed weather across the UK I've been told, my wife is in wales at the moment and she said it's beaming sunshine there with very little clouds. If I see you waving you'll have to pop up for a drink 😁
Sea mist (usually confined to Ventnor) surely?
Sea mist yes, it's still going on and st Lawrence is covered in it. Look's cool 😊
Unless you are the owner or have permission to be on the property and it’s land I suggest you get off it , no respect to the landowners. A terrible situation for them isn’t made better by having entitled ‘explorers’ like yourself trespass over their property. Sort it out
Very sad you felt compelled to put such a comment as a touchy feely guy. I know the owner an I'm in the process of helping him getting his valuables out of the house at a risk to me so think twice before you put an upperty response on someone's video.
Thankfully now slippage here as it is rock - I think they are referred to as Upper Greensand Crags but I'm not a geologist.
It could be and definitely! I'd have to agree if we had slippage here it would be terrible, it's one of those places that's great to return to every now and again.
Absolutely. The lower part of the cliff is sandstone and traces of it can be seen on the path.
One of the wonders of The Undercliff.
It would be interesting to rewind back through the years when there was very little in the way of tree's around that area and envision what the views would have looked like looking towards the ocean.
Where is the context ie where it is when did it happen 4ffs sake
The looks of it were awe-full. I did have to give this video a thumbs up...
Thank you, it is awful. It looks like the damage stem's from the landslip that occurred up the road in 2014.
Obviously no hope of return, really feel for the owners. Thanks for video update
Same here, we can only hope they've had some form of support for what they've dealt with 🙏 I watched a video today and didn't realise that the damage is also in the woodlands behind the house and there's tree's that have fallen.
thats shocking.....but good vid
The only thing I realised after was the phone camera was covered in dust as I was working nearby 😁
Hello, do you know what the situation is on Old park road? Charleswood House on the corner is somewhere we’ve stayed before. Wondering if still there?! Or the land slip has effected that too. Any info would be much appreciated!
So far all we've seen is the house on its own down old park road has collapsed and is in a bad condition, the road is badly damaged in several areas around the house too.
Was this again another recent landslide or from early March?
Wow poor home owners this is terrifying
It's bad, I have sympathy towards the people that lost their home and all they poured into it.
Then why make a video about it ?! That’s someone’s home that you’re showing on the internet, when they probably wouldn’t you too ! Then to make jokes about dropping a business card in. You’re an asshole. Let’s hope karma happens and then maybe you can make a video about your home being destroyed.
Thanks for posting. Not keen on the swearing but probably the poor home owners might have said worse. Yet another road gone on the lovely Island and feel so sorry for those affected. .
Apologies for the swearing, we was blown away by the extent of damage done as we'd heard very little from local news site's and equally disturbing we've heard of people wanting to keep this under wraps. This is someone's or a family's home taken away from them and we want to know why people want less said about it. To the people that lived there we wish them all the best and hope they are somewhere safe.
Sorry, wasn't being judgemental. Not sure what I would have said either!
@@dennismoor2767 that's okay 😊 it's just concerning that slips seem to hitting the Isle hard lately, especially two good routes on the island.
So sad, great vid, cut the language tho lads. The island is falling apart!
@@jamescourt4703 the language was our reaction to seeing the extent of damage done. We saw many people pass us and explain what they saw. The majority used their own language to say what they saw. We heard an article saying there had been a slip but we didn't know the true extent of the damage. Like another comment I received on here saying " you could imagine the language used by the owners when this happened".
That's really atmospheric with the sound of the wind and the fog - St Rhadegund's Path. Thank You.
Cheers John, it's great on an afternoon when the sun is setting too 😊
Where on the Island was that please?
This is by woody bay, st Lawrence.
Hi there Allen! Is there any way you'd allow me to use this footage for the background of one of my videos? I'm doing a story set in the Isle of Wight and this is the perfect footage for it! Of course I'd credit you as well :) Let me know!
Hi Sethimus that's totally cool, you can use this video in any way it helps 😊👍👍

@@Nevvanormalstuffnfingztarot respects you got to the front 😁 we was near the entry inside the enclosure, it was a great show 😊
My guess is that you are in the w =ood that leads down to Watershoot Bay.
Great view here Allen - peregrines nest in the cliff every year!
garethbramley1 it's great walk around this part, I'm only two miles away from here but whenever I get the free time I'll often head that way 😊
@@allenwood9967 I've walked it all many times. I intend to try and pick up the old road sometime. You have to go over that ridge to the right of the car park (at the end of the road) and stick close to the cliff edge. Maybe you can find this on your drone? I'd need to take some secateurs with me though - if not cutters.
@@garethbramley1 I did that route an ended up using a stick to break through the nettles an lots of them! I ended up exiting on the blackgang amusements because I'd gone too far 😄

Thanks for posting very entertaining
Thank you 😊 I would have recorded more only my battery was low 😊

Fires seem to be common on the Isle of Wight, so many old hotels etc have suffered Fires!
Certainly looks to be a convenient cover for a situation that needs a quick solution, it's also common on the mainland too.
Subhanallah
It's great 😊
I was in Ventnor in Jul'21, and I have to say that the boarded up arcade was an eyesore - really lowering the tone of the bay area. So if there was no intention to spruce it up and re-open it as some form of amusement attraction it won't be missed.
Yes, it's sad to know these places were a highlight in their day only to amount to nothing now, it should have either been revived as an arcade/ adults restbite or building with several businesses inside.
Inside job, Arson just like how Ventnor Pier was set fire to, C.....
Here. We go. Again.
Routine again like many places, looking like it was a convenience.
Yet. Again it keeps happening.
Well that's yet another part of Ventnors history forever gone. Very sad (and suspicious). It would be nice to think that those responsible were caught and prosecuted, but I doubt it, somehow (just like the pier in the 1980's).
The ( to go to) convenience of fire's to make end's meet, it should have either remained an arcade or a palisade to help ventnor with business.
That was a nice place
Always said they should have revived it as an arcade.
All that lovely interior that was supposed to be saved was obviously in the way of the seaside apartments they wanna build I assume
We feel the same, plenty in there should have been preserved. Something doesn't add up as we watched the fire it looked like the roof was targeted an the rear of the building.
@@allenwood9967 prime real estate and let's face it couldn't build what they want there with all that in the way it all makes perfect sense sadly
@@thealchemist638 yes i agree, far too convenient yet I'd heard the roof atrium compartment was to be seemed into the new structure, perhaps they found something they didn't like or someone made the roof a point of interest.

Thank you 😊 it's a great place to get out an enjoy 😊 xxx
Whose house is this?
It's an abandoned house at blackgang chine 😁
Beautiful pier
Loved it 😊 early morning after dropping our daughter in school, such a chilled out place 😊
Was wondering about what seaside fun activities you do there
There's hire boats an no doubt they have more, we've got more to explore plus there's a boat trip around the needles here ☺️
Now you know why they called it Windy Corner. Lol. Some of the best views on the island can be seen around this area. I reckon it's the most exposed point on the island apart from The Needles.
That's a good point, when standing at this location the field of view is fairly good but from the hill above its a lot more open, the needles has a great open area across the hills around it.
Thanks for the film xxx
Your welcome ☺️ xxx
