awww yay !! I love that for you it’s such a fun journey !! It was a lot of studying through other artists and their music and voices and working on imitation before finding my own sound. I grew up with music and parents who didn’t mind telling me the truth 😅 there is so much I could say but for starting out I’ll give you the few starting points that really helped me. Something a lot of people don’t hear early enough is NEVER push your voice too far. If it hurts - don’t do it. Something that helps with strain is practicing vowel shapes and annunciation, and light consonants. Practicing breath support and control is soooo so important so I’d start with breathing exercises (there are a ton of accessible ones on RUclips!!!). Getting to know your own voice and strong points is also super important. If you feel like you’re already pretty comfortable with something there’s no harm in continuing to make it better as a starting point. :) I’m not a vocal teacher so it would be smart to do more research before hand ! I’m not there to hear your lovely voice so there’s only so much advice I can give 🥹🥹 There’s tons of free options on RUclips for beginner lessons which is a great start !! Hopefully this was even a little bit helpful. If you have any other specific questions I’ll try my best to answer !! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Keeping your throat as open as possible !! You want to make sure NOT to scream it’s super damaging. If you can’t hit something comfortably then it’s a sign that you just need to work up to it :) mess around a little bit with how you place your throat and mouth and find the sweet spot ! When you’re practicing remember it’s ok to look, sound, and feel silly 🤲🏻 (if you need anything else lmk !!!!)
A big part of projecting notes is how you hold your vowels and your lung capacity. I truly cannot stress it enough. When using your chest voice I recommend focusing on breathing in your lower stomach and getting that deep breath. Picturing where you want the sound to come from in practice makes a huge difference ;p
