as someone who loved zoo tycoon 2 i can‘t get into planet zoo, it stresses me out so much and i feel like its not intuitive enough and too complicated for someone that just wants to play casually. dont get me wrong its a GREAT game and well worth its money i just suck lol. i miss the times where i could just play as a zookeeper in zoo tycoon 2 😂

Two point hospital and campus are SOOOOO addictive. I absolutely adore those two games! I saw there is also two point museum coming soon! I’m so excited!!!

It's amazing to see how just how many different simulator games are out there now! If someone ever makes a mouse simulator, I'd be very interested in that lol

i have a notebook where i list my kickstarted games; how much money i pledged, what console i selected, the estimated release date, etc. I also started kickstarting around the time of PuffPals, my first one was actually Friday Night Funkin'. When you compare prices, are you comparing sale prices or regular prices?

Good video, Ari! I've known of Kickstarter for quite some time but it kind of fell out of my perception several years ago. I'm surprised at how many games are still being actively funded on the site, and even more surprised that you're probably the #1 Cozy Games Initiator lmaooo. Lots of stuff to look out for, huh? Maybe I'll take a look on kickstarter and see if anything piques my interest. Also I'm very impressed with your spreadsheet, you've got Cozy Games down to a science!

Great idea for a video! I've never experienced a scam from a video game Kickstarter. However, some games took way longer than expected to be made. I backed one in 2015 and it still hasn't been made! It was a solo dev who just got super overwhelmed and ran out of money. Maybe one day it'll come out :D The only other ones that have taken much longer than expected are: Farm Folks: Expected to be released in 2018 but the original devs kind of gave up on it. Fortunately, Crytivo came in and saved it and a new dev team has been working on it with regular updates. Orange Island: Expected in May 2020 and last update was earlier this year. No idea what will happen with this, maybe it'll come out some day :D I think when games started going to Kickstarter for crowdfunding you would typically get a better price than someone who bought it after release. The expectation was that you were risking your money to help them, so you paid less. Now, it seems that you pay more as a backer because you're helping support a game you're really interested in. Personally, I think you should pay less as a backer because you never know what is going to be made. I also really dislike paying for alpha/beta tiers on Kickstarter. You shouldn't have to pay more to help test a game. That should be available for all backers who receive the game as part of their pledge.

Great video!! I've heard so many horror stories about kickstarter scams, I always feel iffy about backing projects even when they look promising...

I like the variety on here, definitely wouldn't have thought of Pokemon Unite as being cozy! The Stillness of the Wind looks like a really moving game, I'd be most interested in checking that one out.

Ahh yes so many classic multiplayer games! I'm currently playing Spiritfarer and Untitled Goose Game with my girlfriend and have played Stardew and Don't Starve Together with friends. I remember seeing trailers for Blanc and really want to play it!

That does feel like a really strange decision to make and it's definitely disappointing. I don't understand why they didn't a) let Zelda turn into Sheik like you said, b) allow Zelda to copy Link's abilities in combat, or c) just giver her different magical abilities that allow her to fight. In one of the rare games you can play as Zelda, it feels like a copout to require players to play as Link instead.

I really enjoyed these revies!! As someone who enjoys cozy games but doesn't have a lot of time to play video games these days, this is a nice way to figure out which ones are worth trying out. Mail Time looks very cute and I've been curious about Pal World since I'm a big pokemon fan. Looking forward to the next set of reviews! Also, I really like the kitty rating system!
