I install the peep and wrap the serving above and below but leave some extra space between the servings and the peep itself. when I draw back and the peep should decide to move to the right I push the bottom serving just a little towards the peep. that causes the peep to to turn back towards my eye. squeezing closed the split string as you move the serving up will make it very easy. repeat to fine tune if needed.
Hi great vid, what is the name of the silencers that you used to adjust that string rotation, i cant find the anywhere..........
The best way to get rid of peep rotation is with a set of G-Stringz custom strings and cables. Or get rid of the peep.
Thanks for this video. It solved my problem perfectly. Amazing how simply serving the opposite direction pulls the peep back straight.
I want that banner lol
Anyone else notice that the first method for fixing peep rotation, the tie method, they specifically tie in 2 different directions to AVOID changing the peep rotation? I tried tying in the same direction and it doesn't actually change the peep rotation. It is simply the act of tightening the knot above the peep that causes some rotation, and tightening the know below the peep that undoes that rotation to balance it out. This is because the string above the peep is off center due to twist and pulls off center as you tighten, and the string on the bottom is off center in the opposite direction and pulls back as you tighten. You COULD try and tie the knots an unequal distance from the peep to create some small amount of rotation to fix a peep rotation. however, tying the peep like this doesn't actually correct peep rotation as suggested in the video.
Pls dont to much talking, go to the point...we dont have time to hear for nothing
Thanks helpful. BTW love the logo.
My peep is way too high now (went to get it "fixed", it's not fixed). If move it down it is just way off. Can I use these methods to fix it? Im kinda new to this, lotta stuff to learn.
My old bow had a peep on it that was bigger than just a ring, and it had a rubber surgical tied to one of the cables I believe that would keep it from rotating. Are these common anymore?
Question my peep wants to turn still. Any suggestions im a beginner
Or you have just bought some g stringz and your still getting peep rotation
This wasn't useful
Awesome video. Hate peep sight rotation. This was so helpful even for a newbie like me. Thanks!
That bow logo is awful hahahahaha
only thing id say is dont make a video where your hand is blocking the view lol
Plz add subtitles
Cool tip...
good stuff
Thanks for the video! Just adjusted mine with the plyers trick. Quick and easy solution for the small variance needed! Cheers
Tendi nada!!!!
Really interested, thanks but the details got blocked and I got lost. Sounds like a great idea though.
That’s awesome. Thank you.
To me, That was like watching this vid in fast forward..
Problem solved dude, i was so frustrated , now I know. Mahalos
Great Tip, that helped a lot.Happy new year.
Why is it called serving?
Some suppliers told me that BOWS are sold "naked", meaning....it is NOT sold COMPLETE with Release, Balancing weight, Sight glass, stand, etc...etc. (except for the tommy sight scope). Please confirm...., anyone. TQ
Yes most top of the line will come like you mentioned naked, however there are some bow companys that offer package bow that comes with almost everything you need, only thing you'd need to do is tie peep and adjust draw and lbs
that is awesome. great video!
Hey thanks for the video! Problems fixed...took 3 minutes!
Thanks for the video! Peep twist wasn't a problem last year's deer season. I'm not a year round bow guy, it's been sitting for about 8 months. Peep twist is a major issue now. I need to get it fixed properly but your video gave me some at home fixes to keep me shooting until I get it to a shop. Thanks again.
This video saved another trip to G4
Awesome! Great explanation!
Now that is a manly hand 👏
Some great advice guys thanks
what is the string you are using to secure it?
Atlas Shrugged its calling serving. Its a waxed kind of string that secures stuff real good and protects your string too.
Thanks
How many twists should do on your string?
Thanks for the knowledge Bro!! I've been jacking with my peep for a couple weeks now and I could get it to work for a short while but that was it. Thanks again
Never knew the needle nose trick. It worked. Still new to bow hunting. Only 3 years in. I subscribed so you need to put out more vids.
Thank you! Been doing pinstripes the hard way, this made life so much easier for me
Thank you so much for your help, very well explained !!.
Thanks for the vid. Absolutely fixed my peep rotation issue. Folks, if you can't figure out the parts of the vid that are obscured by the hands then archery isn't for you. What he's doing is pulling down the thread on the edges of the peep so the thread is wedged between bow string and peep. Then wraps on the peep and then down the other side. Straightforward stuff. If you don't get it, reference the Specialty Archery vid on peep install.
So, you are the guy making the rules as to who can participate in Archery? Not everyone wants to be a bow mechanic. Following your logic if you can't replace your car alternator, then "owning a car isn't for you"?
Hi Bill. No, I don't make the rules. It's not about being a bow mechanic, rather, it's about that fact that archery is not a 1-2-3 by the numbers gig. It's as much about experimentation and discovery by the archery about what works for them or otherwise and self-development as it is about technique - be it tying in a peep to repeatable form. The point being, if you're not able to get enough info from a vid like this to figure the rest out yourself you will be finding much harder aspects of archery very difficult.
Or maybe people want to see exactly what he's doing on an INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO. If your going to do an instructional video everything should be in plain sight
great name . great logo
Why do you need to watch his hand? Watch what the serving is doing on the string. If you don't know how to serve, by all means, check out another video. This is how to straighten your peep, not how to serve your string.
You make no sense. The only way to correct the rotation issue is to be able to serve in the peep, using the technique shown by this individual.
Your video sukcs, as everyone can see your hands but not the action that they doing. I have to find a video with a guy who knows what he is doing.
I could see just fine.
your eyes suck!!
Is there some RUclips rule that says when doing a how-to video you must always position your hand so that the viewer cannot see what you are doing?
get glasses..video was simple and easy to watch
Don't like it? Don't watch it!
Lmao
Don't like it don't watch it? How the hell would he know he doesn't like it without watching it .. lol..
Lmmfao😂🎉😂😅
Hi I notice when I correct set a pip-sight at home and I went to shooting range pip rotating. From my observations the reason of this is ambient temperature because when I return to home everything is ok. My bow is carbon icon. Is anybody has similar problem??
I used the quick and dirty method..... your hand was too much in ths way.... great vid though
thanks bud, this has drivin me nuts for a while now
Glad you know how to do it. I watched your right hand most of the video. Camera could have maybe been on the other side.
