Hi ,yes i've done a couple of theese . Batmans ,Harley ,Joker ,Deathstroke , and various cars . All of the tiles were originally white ,i painted them with the background color ,for batman it was blue , then about 3coats of black . Let it dry and engrave :) the same can be done with canvas ,just with different settings . Thanks for watching .

@@LGeeThomas thanks . if you have the space then you should buy one ,my neje laser has been working every second day for about 10hours and still going strong ,but if you want to cut wood this laser is not meant for that . And i would suggest making an enclosure , there are alot of fumes . The tiles are 30x30cm and the engraving can be up to 4hours for a single tile . Also check out this website www.imag-r.com it has helped me to convert pictures ,so they engrave better . And definitely buy lightburn software , it's simple and amazing .

Yes it works great , i found that the process is the same on tile ,but without worrying of burning through the canvas . Engrave a test power/speed grid , it will help .

yes ,thats done in lightburn . tou should make a power/ speed grid for the best result.

@@digitalphanes206 yes ,the fumes were terrible . After this i quickly built a simple enclosure with a bathroom extractor fan and it works great , no fumes in the workshop.

@dixensizzler I am using a Neje 3max with a a40640 laser module . But you could do this with a less powerfull , cheaper laser module it would just be slower .

Hi , at the end of the video there is a cut list and a sketch . I overlapped 50mm , about 2inches .

@@vivivimoon21 i am using a 10w diode laser on about 40% power and 2500-3000mm/min . But you should make a test grid on your first tile.

@@sahanpanditharathne2765 yes ,i think it will work on any painted surface , just adjust power so you don't burn through if the material is thin . I've tried it on a canvas ,tile and plywood . All worked great ,but plywood was my least favourite .

Thanks for your comment ! Im glad you liked the idea of multiple colors . You can also try the same process when engraving pictures on painted tiles . I once engraved a mandala picture on painted tile with 5 or more colors and it turned out amazing .

I wiped off dust with a microfiber cloth and with a brush wiped on waterbased lacquer/varnish something like polycrylic

Hi in can't really say . Because everyone has a different machine . I have a 10w module and used 4000mm speed at 35% power . But i recommend to make a speed/power test piece in lightburn / top bar menu under ‘Laser Tools > Material Test Generator’/. That's how i figured out my speeds.

also for different paints and materials speed/power might be different.

Yes it works on painted wood too , but in some parts the laser burned through paint and started burning wood ,that's why i tried it on a canvas. You should do some power/speed tests and it will turn out great.
