Thank you for this instructional video. I found it clear and helpful! Which cabled sweater are you wearing? It’s beautiful 😍
I'm happy that you liked it and found it useful! Thank you 😊 it's a pattern that I made and that I'm grading and writing at the moment 🙂
@@petitvelo that’s exciting! I look forward to hearing more about this beautiful sweater!
❤❤
Je viens de découvrir ta chaîne, j'aime beaucoup 😊
Merci beaucoup ! 😊 Ravie que mes vidéos te plaisent !
Thanks for a lovely video, Emma.
Thank you! 🤗
Beautiful warm colors and amazing podcast, enjoyed listening ☕
Thank you! 😊I'm glad you like it!
Superbe vlog, très belles images et montage très réussi. J’adore ❤
Merci beaucoup ! 🤗
Your video of A knitter's creative summer vlog - August: hiking, swimming in the sea, gardening, knitting, is amazing. I love your video. It is very beautiful. I love your video. thanks for sharing.🥰
Thank you so much! 🤗
Lovely x
Thank you 🤗
Trop chou cette vidéo :)
Merci ! 😊
Your vlogs are wonderful, thank you
Thank you 🤗
I like podcasts about 20 minutes long. Thank you for showing your projects 😊
Thanks for sharing! 😊
Vintage pink maybe.?
Aah yes, that would fit this color a bit better than old haha
The yarns are so lovely❤❤❤ i have to prove retrosaria rosa pomar yarn
Oh yes, if you can find it, it's really lovely to work with and so nice to wear!
About cumulus bluose have you hold it double o single strand of yarn and what size .?
I held it single and it makes a fabric that is very lightweight though very warm. I actually haven't tried holding it double, but I guess it could work, making a fabric quite tight and very very warm
The doll is very cute❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
I have an idea for the slipper Try on tell your son that he’s helping you create the slippers and this is one of the steps in creating. The slippers is trying them on when they’re damp so they’ll fit it to him and he’ll understand.❤
Thanks for the idea ❤ That's exactly what I did and he was so excited to put them on (he even told me I was too slow on shaping the second one because he wanted them both on his feet 😅)
I love this video! The style of it captured the beauty of your summer. x
Thank you so much! 🤗
Beautiful finished objects! x
Thank you 😊
Beautiful vest! You might be able to tighten up the collar with a crochet hook and the silk-mohair. Also, I like when you talk about sewing. (Those little triangles used to shape the bodice are called darts!)
Thank you 😊 That's a good idea to use a crochet hook to tighten up the collar, I might try that first (and I might have a bit more determination to do it soon then, because I really procrastinated redoing this collar!). And thanks for the words, I'm still learning the sewing vocabulary 🙂
I love the shawl, it looks stunning 🤩
Thank you 🤗
Very clear instruction. Thank you for taking the time to do this video. Very helpful. ❤
Thank you 😊 I'm glad it was helpful!
The shawl for your mother is absolutely gorgeous! I also wanted to ask if you’re still potentially considering creating a pattern for the textured/cabled jumper you made a while back - I commented how perfect it was and I’d buy the pattern immediately !:)
Thank you 🤗 About the jumper, I'm still planning on making the pattern; I've taken back the numbers I'll write it in the next few month while I knit it for my partner. Would you also be willing to test knit it when it's ready before I release the final pattern?
@@petitvelo wonderful! I would love to, yes! What’s the best way for you to let me know - email? Please let me know.
@@ginaweathersby5463 This is so nice to know! Yes, I think by email would be the best. Could you send me your email address at petitvelo.podcast@gmail.com ? 🙂
Lovely knitting ....
Thank you 😊
I love the vest!!!
Thank you 🤗
Beautiful❤❤❤❤
Thank you ❤
Super joli vlog ! Merci beaucoup pour ce doux moment 😍
Merci beaucoup ! 🤗
I find the vest very beautiful❤. If you don't like the idea to separate the strands of unspun, I recommend you Plotulopi or Nutiden which come single stranded and then you can pair it with silk mohair. I also recommend you the Jeny's surprisingly stretchy bind-off for binding off at the cuff. Let us know of it worked for you.😊
Thank you ☺ I actually have a plate (but only one) of Plotulopi and it seems a bit prickly compared to Manchelopi, but maybe it softens once wearing it? I might try Jeny's surprisingly stretchy bind-off instead of grafting, thanks for the recommendation! 😊
@@petitvelo I guess that Plotulopi is the most prickly of them all....and I haven't heard that it softens after watching or wearing 🤷♀️. I had once a Pullover in my hands which was made with islandic yarn and the mohair from ito sensai and it felt really soft. I also have one plate of plotulopi and I made a sample but I didn't like it so much honestly even if I am not so sensitive...But I guess with the right mohair it kann feel much better. We have to try😉
@@biristef9490 You're right, with a soft mohair, it should soften it. I've never tried Ito Sensai so I'll see if I can find it 🙂
Hi! I am happy to see you wearing your Miles Shirt Jacket! I am using for mine the unspun from Hillesvag and one strand of drops kid silk mohair and I am gettig a very nice thick and warm fabric with it. The mohair should help to prevent the felting and give more strength to the garment. I guess this will be my go to with unspun from now on. I loooooved your mohair Shawl. It looks amazing! What a beautiful piece and great idea!. Your mom will love it for sure. Lovely greetings from Germany.
Your Miles Shirt Jacket should be even nicer with a strand of silk mohair especially since the gauge is quite loose! I've been wanting to try the unspun from Hillesvag for a bit of time, I think that's going to be the next one I try. Thank you for the shawl 😊 I just finished it and I can"t wait to give it to my mum!
@@petitvelo the hillesvåg unspun is really nice...you will love it. I find it even softer than Manchelopis. Both are very special in their own way...but hillesvåg ist until now my favorite🥰. I will be looking forward to hear about your experience.
Keep it up 👍
I thought the rain was fireworks 😂
😂 I didn't expect the rain to come so suddenly with so much intensity haha
I haven´t even watched a full minute and I need to tell you, your voice is so relaxing!! you have such beautiful and calming energy
Thank you so much 🤗

Just stumbled on your podcast. I enjoyed it! I prefer shorter podcasts myself. 30-45 min is perfect for my busy life. Thank you!

❤️❤️
Hello Emma. Thanks for this wonderful video with so many details of your project. I have been searching for information about this pattern because I was not sure about it. Now I am and thanks to you! Now you have a new suscriber ;-). I have a podcast too but in spanish. I guess I will also share my process in spanish to help others to get closer to the process of the Miles Shirt Jacket. Thanks again and see you soon :)
Hello Rita, I'm glad this video was useful for you! I often find it easier to understand some project with videos than just with photos. I started to watch some of your podcast videos (with subtitles, I can't understand everything but learnt some new words!) and I enjoyed them! 😊
@@petitvelo Oh! Thanks for watching my videos too. I am asking myself now, how good are the subtitles working...I will check jeje. I am very happy that you enjoyed anyway jeje. I have everything now to start with my jacket. ;-) ..I just need to start. I will be talking about it in my channel. Thanks again for your video and for answering.
Thank you for this great video ❤
☺️❤️
Thanks very much for sharing your process with this pattern.
I'm happy if it can be useful 😊
I really loved the burgos vest, i think black bottons would look perfect or the coconut shell ones.
Thank you, that's a great idea! I put dark green buttons, almost black at the moment, but I might be looking for the coconut shell ones 😊
Your sweater is GORGEOUS!
Thank you so much ! 🤗
Would you consider selling your pattern? It’s absolutely perfect!!
That makes me really happy to know that you like it so much ! I'm going to grade it to be able to knit it for my partner, so I could actually grade it for all sizes!
You are inspiring me to start this jacket. How many balls of wool you ordered for this jacket?
It's so nice to know that it inspires you! 😊 I used 3 balls plus a tiny bit of the fourth to sew the second pocket. But I knit the cardigan a bit smaller than recommended in the pattern, so I would have used something closer to four balls if I had knit it to the right length.
Your cable sweater is beautiful - love the gorgeous plump cables. I do the same thing when knitting cables or lace - I use a lot of stitch markers to keep track - also helpful to catch errors. I love Woolyknit yarn and I agree it can be a bit heavy when held double. For this garment, I may try it single and holding with an airy lightweight yarn or even their merino for a lighter sweater.
Thank you! It's such a good idea to hold it with an airy yarn or Woolyknit's merino. I never tried it yet and I really like that idea! (Especially since they seem to have almost exactly the same color with nepp, so it could be perfect!) Thank you for lovely idea 😊
You make such lovely things. Very sweet little hands. That thrift shop sounds so fun ! It's a little distracting to hear the clicking sound of your camera always trying to focus : ) Merry Christmas to you and your family
Thank you for your sweet comment! 😊Yes, I realised when editing that the sound of the camera was quite annoying when I was not wearing my mic. I'll try to either use my mic when I have it or be in manual focus for the future 🙂I hope you had a lovely holiday!
I enjoy seeing people's sewing as well as knitting. Your dress seems like a very useful and beautifully made piece! I'm knitting the same tiny sweater you showed while watching this video, coincidentally. 🙂 My second one, started and finished first yesterday and already almost done again. I want to make quite a few for a christmas garland.
Thank you! 😊 Those tiny sweater are so nice to make! Have you made many for your garland? I wanted to make more too, but only made another one... 😅
@@petitveloI ended up with just three this season but I hope to extend it when the season rolls around again this year! Happy 2024 to you!
This was so very helpful! I want to make this so will refer back to this video when I am ready to knit it. Thank you !!
🤗 I'm so happy that you like it and that it can be usefull!
Yes, put together a podcast showing all the steps towards making the jacket. I would love it.
😊 you can find the video here : ruclips.net/video/L4ybugWxFmY/видео.html I hope you enjoy it 🤗
Thank you for this episode! I also love working with Mondim yarn. Your tiny beanie is precious too!!
Thank you! 🤗Do you knit socks with Mondim or also garments?
@@petitvelo I am fairly new to knitting socks, and have not tried Mondim for them yet, but I do have some socks in Mondim planned. I have used Mondim for a pullover and also for several cowls and shawls.
The cable sweater is gorgeous! I love the 3 cable! Not any of the sweaters I have looked at use that one.
Thank you 🤗I finished it since then and I'm sooo happy with it!😊
Hi Emma, you could not tell the microphone was off, I am excited to see the cable sweater😊,take care Melissa. 🇨🇦 Ps - I am going to look up your sisters yarn, I hope you had or have a great time at the yarn festival, also going to favourite the sumac sweater.
Good to know about the microphone, because I recorded another episode without it 😅 I'm glad you like the Sumac, I just picked it up again to finish it 🙂
