what are you talking about? It outclassed everything? suuuuure :( there was no interest in it because it was ridiculously expensive. In Germany it was 152K DM which was insane. But sure it was too good, that nobody wanted to buy one :/ puh

But, Why a V6 for a sports car ?, Why not a V8 or a V10 or even a V12 ?? , As a V6 doesn't sound powerful compared to other options in its competitor's.

Nsx to this day still under powered. Go get one cool kid and get gapped by a kia. If you appreciate the nsx for what it is you will enjoy it. It's problem was in the 90s it was a Honda and had a big entry price for the name Honda or Acura. Plus V6 when compared to V8 or V12 . Got to look at it through 90s shades

in other words...the NSX's features outweighed it's quirks! the other thing going against it was the cylinder count...and brand name. ofc Porsche also had 6, but they were "exotic". the price point severely undercut Ferrari, and cost around the same as a top-of-the-line Corvette of it's era. People forget that the Japanese sports cars of that time were really meant to tempt people to buy them over the later C4s and early C5. it was a hard sell in the U.S., where most people at the time were still biased towards American muscle. Motortrend and Car & Driver magazines at the time would bring up comparison charts, and the NSX was really the better deal overall...but it fell outside of domestic buyers comfort zone, and rich people will always pick a European pedigree sports brand over a Honda/Acura. and here in the States, we didn't ever get the NSX Type Zero...too many people probably would have confused it with a certain fighter plane from WW2(which was made by Mitsubishi, not Honda) back in the early 90s. ofc, now you can get them since they're old enough legally, but right-hand drive only for that model.

If Honda really cared about the NSX they wouldn’t have made the new version they did. They would’ve made a throwback to this and made it look like a Ferrari put the engine in the back and kept going, but they didn’t.

Remember seeing one three weeks ago when driving down the road, same nice red as this one, it took a u-turn and opened up, must’ve had a modified exhaust but other wise looked stock. That was an amazing day.

So many comments are so off base written by bitter children that just can't afford one. The price skyrocketed (alongside the viper) during covid, and never went back down. Granted I never could have afforded one either had I waited until after covid. I was lucky enough to pick mine up in 2018 for 39.5. It's a 100k car all day now. I turbo'd mine and make 450 wheel at 2950 lbs. I've taken 750hp roush mustangs to gapplebees from 50-130, and that's not even what the car is good at.

No it didn't lack anything at all except that it didn't have an italian (beautilful junk) or german badge. And all the white people were butt hurt about it. It schooled every europoean supercar manufacturers

It simply didn't have the torque as the Ferrari. It was a Japanese car at the time of the introduction of supercars. Yeah, compare the oil change price of the NSX, to the Testarossa! My opinion is that I love any car that has pop-up headlights! Think Dave Hill (Chief Engineer) for GM took notes when developing the C5 Corvette. It sold like crazy.
