How to make Latex paint, for latex mask
Spookyseason
I've mixed Ultracal with water and have mixed water with Ultracal. Didn't seem to matter what way (at least my molds came out ok), but I never quite understood why you should always mix the powder to the water.
Either way works.. but when u add the powder to the water, the way that i have showed. The water soaks in the powder quicker and more thoroughly.. which gives u less dry clumps to deal with..
Do you have a mini standing one? If so how much?
Have you ever tried the Acrylic paint from Dollar Tree?
@bradalsobrook901 I have not but it's all the same..
aaAUGJH
do you have a website or just at transworld can we buy these beautiful props and costumes :(
I do.. but it is down for retail at the moment butnu can reach me through email, facebook or instagram
I need one now
U can for sure order one
Hi Jimmy !! Thank you so much for this :) You made the video I was looking for a loooong time ! I still have some difficulty adjusting the dosage tho. I paint regular latex elf ears with this and I feel like sometimes it's too "watery" in a way ? Or maybe I'm using the wrong kind of latex. Mine is Latex Pro from Reschimica with a low viscosity.
Yea u need a thicker latex.. u can order small amounts from monstermakers.com u want the RD407 latex
when ever you watch these videos, no one ever tells you what dremel they are using. It would be very helpful to know that.
Any style dremel will work.. but Dremel 100 works just fine.. dremel 1000 is top dog of dremels. But a simple 100 is a work horse..
Absolutely stunning!!!!🖤🖤🖤
Thank you so much!!
What is your website?
Oh that looks like a which
Witch*
Do you have a website?
Yes I do.. it is down for rehaup at the moment
@@MisterjimmyFXC can you send me the link to your website when it’s back up?
Thank you so much for this video. Im about to pour a skull. Do you use warm or cold water? I have experience with other plaster, and this looks like the same process. Thank you for sharing.
I use warm water. Hotter the water, the faster the kick So warm is the best unless u have a large project, then Cold will give u more time..
MOM I THREWED UP
hes hot
Ohhhhh gotdamn those are adorable!
Thank u
Thank u so much dude I almost gave up on masking but next year I'm geting back into it
Hell yea.. get back at it and have fun with it
@@MisterjimmyFXC ya because the I try'd use just straight up acrylic no mixture of any thing but now I know what I did wrong my paint from my mask was cracking
Siiiiiiick!
Thanks
Hey, Jimmy! I know this is an older video so I hope you're able to comment back. If not, just know I love your videos as you are a great teacher and they are very helpful. I had a question based on the concept of painting with latex. There was a video I saw recently of an artist/animator making a stop motion puppet. (Here at about the 6min mark ruclips.net/video/Cqcn1_aIU1c/видео.htmlsi=i3WC0AdESgg8kf6W) He began to paint the outside of the armature a skin toned latex paint and it got me wondering if it would be possible to paint action figures and ball jointed dolls with latex paint to hide the joints. And if the mixture you're using in this video would be a good option for what I'm looking for. Any insight on that would be great! Thank you again and hope to see more from you soon!
OMG they are cute
Thanks
Thanks

?
I know this is a little late but I was wondering how do you remove those small gritty pieces of latex that cover the mask and smooth it out?
Mineral spirits. On a rag and wipe it down.. u will have to rub with light pressure but that will take care of them
Helpful video. Can you please show the whole process including mixing and pouring? Thanks
Yes I will
How did you repaint the mask?
U have to clean mask and remove old hair.. then use mineral spirits to take top layer of paint off them repaint in latex.paints
Thanks for the simplest how to do video on how to mix your paints for mask airbrushing!
Glad it was helpful!
This helped me out alot. Was looking at other videos but they weren't clear with the instructions. Thanks Jimmy.
No problem 👍
How did you do the hair?
I Lay it with contact cement .. I do a video on it
Awesome mask i love it all lot.
Thanks i try to do a Renault once or twice a year
The weirdest mask ever love it.

Would you know how I can water down my Liquid Latex? The brand I bought came too thick in the bottle.
Ammonia
Ammonia is what they use in latex so more u add the thinner it gets...
Can this stuff run through a Dual Action Gravity Fed Airbrush?
Yup u sure can.. If it doesn't spray good.. Just add a little more water and if to thin add a little more latex... Remember it dries darker the it looks
How do you achieve the charred effect on a mask ?
Take Cotton Balls and brush on pieces in the areas you want “charred” with mask making latex or liquid latex until those areas are smooth.
Add coffee grains to latex, then paint it on... Base in what color or colors u want and then Stipple the black on top
Where can I get it

What is the recipe
Just water then ULTRACAL30
The directions that came with my Ultracal 30 say ( 38 parts water to 100 parts Ultracal 30) by weight. Setting time is an average of 25-30 min. when mixed manually. It says not to mix with your hands. Paint mixer, jiffy mixer or paddle is the most commonly used. I haven't used any yet. I'm sure there are other ways but this gives you an idea of increments to work with. I really like how Mr. Jimmy does his.
The music just don’t sit right with me
Then I did my job
This is mildly disturbing
Ur welcome
WTH
Enjoy
Nice
Thanks
Hello there.. Can I build the layer up to 1.5 cm thickness if I let it cure for many hours?
Yup the longer u let it set the thicker it gets.. That's the thickest u will Be able todo but thats extremely thick...
@@MisterjimmyFXC Thanks so much! Will be trying to cast some filigree.. xD
Wow that's nice
Thanks
Cool!
Thanks
Good tip re: suranne wrap
I’m having a real hard time making a blue paint everytime I try and make some the blue always turns to a light blue what should I do ?
When u mix the colors it looks lighter untill it dries... It should dry same color of blue paint u used
If not had a small tad of black to darken
@@MisterjimmyFXC Thankyou for the feedback and add dark before I mix with latex and water ?
That looks phuckin awesome! Is it for sale? Need a new face
This one is not but u can for sure order one
How long should I wait between painting layers?
As long as it's dry... U can paint I keep a hair dryer on hand....
Gilberts!!!! I love that all your pricing was big and clear. Nobody would have to ask price on anything.
Yea simple and easy
