I would recommend you setup a contract with the driver, how much you should be paid by the driver depends on what type of bike you are renting out its usually 600-700 to rent a bike for delivery.. Are you considering renting out a car instead?

Awe bro....You can't ride a bike with code 10 license but you can use a code A/1 learners to ride a bike the exception is that you can't have a passenger on the bike with you until you get a license.

I would recommend you take maybe 5 lessons of practice for riding a motorcycle from a driving school

What usually happens is that the owner of the bike will tell the renter a fixed amount he wants it usually ranges from R600 to R700(sometimes even more) I've never seen an arrangement where the renter pays the owner a cut of his earnings.

@@BusinessadviseSouthAfrica okay so as the owner of the bike you will get your fixed amount weekly.so can i ask does the government get involved in this arrangement as to tax the owner of bike since you running a rental business? and who is resposible for fixing the bike? renter or owner?

@@Hiphoplyrics3768 if you registered your business of bike rental then yes the government will be involved but you are highly unlikely to pay tax because businesses with a turnover of less than a million do not pay income tax. if you rent the bike but you get to keep ownership you are responsible for fixing the bike, but if you are renting out for rent to own purpose then the renter will be responsible for repairs

@@BusinessadviseSouthAfrica okay cos i want to rent to someone who will do food deliveries for uber,Mr D etc..i give them full control over the bike the only thing i get is the rent which is R700. Do you think this strategy is reasonable? and will many be willing to take it

Yes it's worth it to drive for yourself because you'll be able to make more money... The net income tends to be around R12k-R16k per month... Some weeks are very busy you can make around R3k-R5k on busy weeks given that you work more than 12hrs a day on less busy weeks (which tends to be 2 weeks in a month) you'll likely earn R2k-R4k (again... only if you work more than 12hrs a day)

I would not recommend you rent out a car to MrD or UberEATS driver because a car is just too expensive to maintain your car will be working hard for little money UberEATS doesn't pay much for drivers to be able afford to rent cars at a fair price to the owner too... Rather just register yourself to do UberEATS you can do it part time and you'll earn decent money

careful with that i rented out 2 brand new bikes licensed and put on the delivery box aswell...i rented them out for R650 per week. Those mfs ran away with my bikes to this i haven't recovered any of those two bikes🤦🏿

I wouldn't suggest you do so maybe try to get some experience apply to companies like debonairs, takealotmrd, or maybe masterparts after that you will be experienced enough to work for checkers because there you need to be a fast driver/rider in order to complete orders quick and earn more

It is up to you how much you charge the person if your bike is new and in very good condition you could charge up to R700 per week, most people charge R650 per week

It depends on how many hours you work, and on the area you work at. I just calculated my total earnings for last month and it was 18k before subtraction of all the other costs, I was able to reach this amount because I put in more hours so more hours=more pay. It took about a week for me, but it usually takes more for others because Uber is not always adding new drivers.

You can use an electric bicycle,there are some riders who deliver with electric bicycle, but I don't think a normal bike is allowed. And delivering by foot is also not allowed.

It took 4 days because the company that delivered my bag did not report to Uber that they had delivered the bag.

I contacted Uber to ask why is my account not activated yet even though I've bought the bag.

It depends on how far you are delivering and at what time you are at, basically you get paid 15 delivery fee plus a fee for every km you travel to deliver, this fee varies, yesterday I delivered to a customer who was 3.5 km, in the evening and I was paid R30 and sometimes you may even get a tip. So it really does depend how much you'll get per delivery
