The first two minutes was crazy
The fact that this guy is using an invisibility cheat code is diabolical because if you hit a enemy with any animal you have you would die
There are no cheat codes of any kind being used. Do you refer to situations like at 2:29 where part of the Expresso sprite touches the enemy? The hitboxes for both the Kongs, the animals and the enemies are all smaller than their sprites. Nothing here has been modified in any way and everything you see works identical to if you would play the game yourself.

Edit: I'm stupid and just blindly used the wrong RTA leaderboard. RTA WR is 7:27. The TAS is 7:24 with TAS timing, which converts to about 7:18 when timed the same method as this run. There are also a couple of improvements to the TAS. This hasn't been the WR for this category since shortly after the video was published. The actual real time WR is 8:01.

i've tried and tried again to get the stupid fuckjng wrong warp and i can't do it. espresso just turns into a golden dk and the secret door in orangutan gang just doesn't open. what the fuck am i doing wrong

What happened at 1:03? Was that a glitch or an actual warp?
It's a glitch. In the earlier versions of the game (Does for example not work on the Switch online version) you can have one character on the map screen and press a button in one of the four corners in W1 and warp. Three of them will take you to do different parts of Orang-utan Gang, level 3-5, while the last one takes you to the end of 1-2.

Been playing donkey Kong my whole life currently in my 30s beat it every couple of years. Had absolutely no idea you can get on the metal barrel like that.

I don't know anything about speedrunning. Are the glitches programming errors or intentional easter eggs?
None of them should be intentional Easter Eggs. Initially, I thought that the first wrong warp, the one done at 1:03 on the overworld map, was some kind of warp leftover to get later into the game for gametesting. Though I highly doubt that is the case. For any other glitch in the run, it's practically guaranteed to not have been intentional by any means.

I presume you mean the Klap Trap at the start of the level? That is the only Klap Trap in the game that is not moving forward, which is why it's possible to roll into it. However, this was changed in later revisions of the game, where you'll instead take damage.

All other Klap Traps in the game are moving forward, except that one. For that reason it is possible to roll into it. This was however changed in later revisions of the game, such as the version that is on Nintendo Switch.

It's done by landing on an enemy on the same frame you start a new roll, called a "Jumproll". When you hit an armadillo, so that its rolling animation is cancelled, you have a short period where you are able to walk into it without taking damage. Do the setup seen here, then you run towards the edge and just when you are about to fall down, you initiate a roll. If you want a guide, look up the videos "DKC1 Platform Perils Jumproll Setup".

Sure is. This record has also been beaten long ago, WR clocks in at 7:29. There is also extreme glitching which you can use to warp directly into the credits in 1 minute flat.

No "hell yeah" anymore, as this run is very old and outdated. Current WR is over a minute faster, at 7:29.
