I worked downstairs there in the late 80's during the crack epidemic. Task Force was in the old CCTV room on 42&8. It was an anti crime unit by than but they were still top notch. I met a few of these guys band they played their roles great.pity it had to be disbanded

The mayor destroyed the housing police and transit police into the weak nypd. Look what happened to transit subway the mayor destroyed it.

They were only worried about their pensions, seniority and rights. Not worried or cared about the citizens?

That was a sad moment in time in Law Enforcement history. About the same time a few law enforcement agencies in California likewise merged. I was part of a merger myself though with another department in 2012. I know sadly the feeling. It's never the same again.
