Yes it's a Great Anime , the Animation , Story Sound Tracks ,Every thing is really Amazing and Beautiful , i binged whole 3 seasons in like 4 days.

I respect your Opinion , But personally i still Enjoyed the Anime Lot , for me it's S Tier but no where a Masterpiece and Dungeon Meshi is Just Really Amazing World Building Wise.

Yeah your Point is Accurate , Some time's Character's are Made dumb or are Not just meant to be deep on Purpose if they are Not Important enough for the Main Story , so there is not much effort put into them.

yeah your points are accurate and i know alot of Other Anime's have really well written female character's but in General 90 % of modern Anime's still have those cheap , Character Trope female character's and this is the thing that im not a big fan of , i just wanted to appreciate , Maomao's Character and there should be more well written Character's Like maomao with their Own personality and thinking they should feel like People and not just tropes .

Female character's in 90% of Anime's you can find are really poorly written , Anime doesn't have a problem with women in real life , but Anime in general , most character's have little to no personality or depth , just lazy writing , Which is what i talked about in this video.

I mean Women / Female Character's in Most Anime are written really poorly , like there is no character depth and most of the time are based on a trope , Like tsunadere (meaning some who is just rude from outside and tries to hide her sweet emotions ) , Kurdere , the One female character who always talks slowly like nothing in the world matters , then there is the one that's really shy , instead of just fitting their personalities into a certain trope , it's better to have characters written with Some Depth .

@@theotakuoutlook It was a joke. I get what you mean. However, it's not like anime has been devoid of well written female characters over the years either. There are lots of examples of compelling female lead and supporting characters even in the past few years. It's more that the most high profile and low effort shows have the worst written female characters.

Yeah you are right there are plenty of well written Characters in manga , i was just taking about these 3 anime's in general and anime in general not manga's or manhwas or lightnovels , cause i would like to see more anime adaptation's from manga's that have really well written characters like these , 90% of anime's have dumb female characters.

Even if you make a good point, i think we are still having more interesting female character than ever today. They definitivly are some anime (and from what i know you mention good exemple of that) who where like that but today we have more anime/manga/VN who do it I'm tired of the woman who are only the reward for the main character, who have nearly no personality or just serve as fanservice. That's not what make a good story. maybe it's also a sign that japanese society is changing.

Brother Don't mind me , I just wanted to Praise the Fact that recently we are Seeing some really well Well written female protagonists Constantly with great characters Depth , Like Maomao , Frieren and Rishe and i would like to see more characters like these in More Shonen Mangas and Anime's , sorry if i made you mad..

@@theotakuoutlook : Perhaps the reason he thought you were is that they are always pretending that nothing has changed in the society, in pop culture, in the legal sphere, and in man's general behaviour towards women since the 1950's or EVEN FARTHER BACK. Every show with a smart female who isn't primarily a side character, a sex object, a comedy object, or similar is praised as if it was the first of its kind, crap, female superheros go back to Wonder Woman and Supergirl and even in the 1940's Louis Lane (Superman's crush but with no super powers at all) was depicted as a smart and brave female reporter who would as often get herself out of danger with her wits and courage as rely on Superman to come and save her. On TV there was "Charlies Angels" in the 1970's as well as Wonder Woman, Isis, and several others. And in the 90's we not only had Slayers (Lena Inverse) and Battle Angel Alita in anime (among many others) but we also had Ripley in Aliens and Sarah Conner in T2 that had full character arcs where their strength and heroism could be put on full display. It also gets TIRESOME being lectured for the 100000000000000th time in 30 years (at least to me) about 'sexualization' of women (sexualization is how babies are made and newsflash: the world currently needs more babies) or how they are never allowed to be independent or smart or did this episode pass the "Bechdel Test" and etc etc etc. Anime by and large DOES NOT have a woman problem. Western entertainment from the past 10 years DOES have a woman problem because they can't make them HUMAN anymore. They have to be morally pure goddesses who can do anything a man can do only better, the only definitions of 'worth' and 'strength' the modern western entertainment industry understands are MALE definitions, and hence all the butch, gay or otherwise unattractive women, who wouldn't know how to be feminine if their lives depended on it. Japanese anime and manga has a wide variety of women , such as exist in real life, and I love it. One doesn't have to be masculine in mannerisms or appearance to be strong, smart or any of that, nor does the possession of eggs and (usually) two "X" chromosomes mean one somehow is never tempted by evil, hence anime feels more 'real' to me than 99 percent of the shit produced by the American industry.

That's because most authors of these kinds of stories have never known a truly intellectually gifted person and have no idea what their thought process looks like and how it compares to other competent but regular people. In general, an author needs to be pretty damn smart themselves to be able to pull off this kind of premise without massive supsension of disbelief being required from the audience. Unfortunately, very few are.

@@unlimited971 nahh think senku is different he's good on knowledge on science but not on other aspect and he knows it that why he still needs the help of other intelligent people and you can already see it on season 1 where he know he dont have a capability of fighting

Honestly, there's a fair bit of competence to go around. It's just that Maomao is essentially a subject matter expert. Her chosen field is broad and allows for bridges to other fields of knowledge. Jinshi is definitely no slouch, though. Neither is her father, or Lakan, or Gaoshun, or most of the courtesans. That show really has plenty of intellect to go around.
