Thanks, man! I got insanely lucky with tonight's 10 pulls, I was able to get every card in the set except for the base Mew EX. I really wish I was streaming these packs tonight with how insane they went for me.

I heavily considered Pikachu/Raichu for this deck, but something about the clefairy/jigglypuff just screamed Lass staples to me. I picked pidgey line because that is actually her most commonly used pokemon, glad you enjoyed the deck. I finally got a beedrill, so I'll be doing bug Catcher next. So let me know what your favorite build is!

I feel this. Sometimes, it feels like DENA themselves programmed the game to make you lose especially when your opponent starts articuno flips 3 heads on a misty and KOs your active before you even got a turn. Stick with it and I'm sure you'll get it done. I've had a couple people tell me the Blaine deck helped them out, give it a shot and see if it works for you!

@Unkn_wnTV yeah, I play Arcizard EX, but I've been looking quite heavily at Blaine for more consistently good damage. I'll give your deck a try, I've got most of the cards in the free to play Blaine deck that you show. Also, as you sent that, my opponent opened the game I was playing with two Articuno EX 😬

@ampisbadatthis Articuno is just consistently strong. I'm looking forward to the new pack coming out soon to help shake up the meta a bit. Blaine is nice because if executed well, it has some decent damage breakpoints your opponent might not anticipate, it is also very aggro which helps get the fast damage rolling, but like every deck in the game it's biggest weakness is getting bricked, so it's important to play it well. Just keep at it. You'll get it!

Articuno + Misty can be a devastating combo. First turn heads is enough to make most people concede immediately. I like the Stall greninja deck. Sounds fun, congrats on completing the event!

Absolutely, some of the ones that are strong in the video games might actually be quite weak in the card game. Some of the trainer types have a wider variety of pokemon to choose from, so those decks might wind up being 2 or 3 multi color decks and very hard to play. But it will be a fun challenge. Yes, unfortunately, it is just as vulnerable as any other water deck is. And with Pika being one of the most Meta relevant decks, it is a huge challenge to defeat it consistently. The most consistent way that I beat pikachu decks with it is making the sacrifice play for 2 straight turns and building up the blastoise on the bench. If you go 2nd and get first energy, you can often have 4 energies when you have to put blastoise out, meaning you only need to take 1 attack from pika before you can start doing 160 damage each turn. You can do all that without misty. If you get even 1 heads on a misty, then you're looking at an entirely different game that you can win almost every time.

I'm a huge fan of Blastoise. Even without misty, he feels like he builds fast enough to be useful. 100 damage for 3 energy is very underrated. I also tried out a version using tentacruel instead of golduck, and I can't decide which one I like more. Golduck does guarantee 70 damage a turn, which is nice, but tentacruel has 110 HP, making it survive a little longer. Both are fun though. You should try out tentacruel too and see what you think!

Either way, it's a horse that's on fire, and that's pretty awesome if you ask me!

The Weezing/Arbok deck is great! It's so fun when Arbok locks in your opponents' poisoned active pokemon. I've been struggling to make Muk work because I only have 1, so it's a little inconsistent when I draw it. I can't wait to try it out when I get another!

Any deck that can beat mewtwo and pikachu right now is absolutely top tier and worth playing. It's a great choice!

It is very fun and highly recommended! I know it can be a pain getting the full Nido line from the packs, but a strong deck with no EX cards is always worth trying out!

Yeah, good call! I sometimes forget that the dark cards are weak to fighting. It's nice when you have a deck strong enough to win even if you make a mistake here or there.

@@Unkn_wnTV Just got my 2nd Kabutops from a Wonder Pick the other day and started playing this. Haven't got Kabutops out in play once yet. Primeape pulls a lot of weight in this deck.

@scottplank1012 That is exactly right! I wanted to try the fossils out in this deck so that I could guarantee the mankey in my opening hand and realized that if you get primeape out on turn 2, it's basically over. The Kabutops is just a nice backup if the game goes long enough to need him.

Literally had a game where he had 2 Misty’s and both got him 5 energies

Misty is the type of card that nourishes your soul when your opponent flips tails or ends your entire existence by watching them flip 15 heads in a row. No in between.

I can't believe the same people created misty the potentially most OP card in the set and brock easily in the bottom 10 most underpowered cards.

Yeah, this game is a little different than other TCGs there is no milling rule. The game keeps going even after you run out of cards to draw.

I've tried a few different versions of this deck. I like using the fossils because Mankey is the only basic in the deck, guaranteeing one in your opening hand. The deck is incredibly consistent. Try out this version for yourself!

I have 6 of them now. Try to pull from the right it may increase your odds!

The real secret is to keep trying. It's a 20% chance after all you'll get one eventually!
