Hi hope you're doing well. I have a big challenge filtering data where a column in the table contains values separated by commas. I'm using the following function: =FILTER(tblData, ISNUMBER(X.MATCH(tblData[MultipleText], A1:A10))) However, it doesn’t return any results or only those rows where there are no additional values separated by a comma. tblData[MultipleText] has rows with this format: Red, Blue, Yellow, Black Blue, Yellow Green Red, Ping (...) A1:A10 range Red Black Blue (...) Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers

I know this is the wrong place to post but: gosh I have been following you for months now. NOT with excell but powerpoint on simon sez: YOU ARE THE MOST AMAZING PRESENTER ANYWHERE. please please do you have a video on the following: If i put an audio file on each page of my powerpoint presentation (using the record feature inside of powerpoint) how do I share the file so that when the other person gets the file all audio icons work when the person clicks on it and they hear my audio for each page? I don't know if the audio will be lost if I send it to another person. I can't attach the file on an email because it is too huge. I do have access to something called Hightail it is like drop box: but I am worried that people won't be able to hear the audio I have created for each slide. Again I know this is the wrong place to post but it is the most frequent presentation I see in your name. THANK YOU SO MUCH Oh I did watch your video on recording and narrating in powerpoint but my big question is if I record an audion on EVERY single slide individually how do I make sure another person can here it if I share the file in some way (two different networks) no sharing on the same network. Thank you

Great video, I can definitely see myself using these functions in the future. I feel however some of this could be sorted by allowing an optional new feature in Pivot Tables - eg refresh automatically when data set is changed (but we all know that will be incredibly slow haha).

In the GROUPBY function, to group by non-adjacent columns, you can simply use CHOOSECOLS instead of HSTACK, indicating the respective columns only by their index.

Excellent video! I'd like to know if you could do a video on the FILTER function and combo boxes. I understand that this function can be used anywhere in a workbook but, if we stick with drop down lists, we're limiting the flexibility of the function. I'd like to use a combo box that I will 'group' with my chart. I hope you can help with this. Keep those top-notch videos coming!

It's better to ask the chat how to prepare an Excel data generator rather than ask for data. Preparing data in the Excel generator is much faster than within the chat. ;) 😅

One thing, a Pivot Table is the ONLY way to report data that has more than 1,000,000 rows of data which cannot be loaded into a table.

I thought pivot tables had refresh on open function, albeit won't refresh if your data changes while workbook is open but could have a macro that periodically refreshes pivot I think

Very well explained. I really like the groupby and pivotby functions, makes a lot of interesting things in my spreadsheets. But its still true, these will most likely not be used in daily operation life. There - the pivot table still wins :). I guess, mostly - people still dont learn too much of excel.
