The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) is the leading body in the UK for taxation professionals dealing with all aspects of taxation. Our primary purpose is to promote education in taxation. One of our key aims is to achieve a more efficient and less complex tax system for all. Our comments and recommendations on tax issues are made solely in order to achieve this aim; we are an entirely apolitical organisation.
Membership of the CIOT is by examination, nationally recognised as the gold standard of UK taxation education. We support our 19,000 members and 5,000 students throughout their tax careers, providing assistance through our London-based head office and worldwide network of 40 branches.

Does tax technology have lucrative career opportunities?
HMRC do not collect tax anymore, they receive it, they have closed all their tax collection offices due to the previous govts demands for cut backs.
I have registered for ADIT, but I don't know how I will access the study guides/Materials to prepare for my examinations. Would you kindly assist?

wake up! We're in 2023, not in 1600. Having a tatoo doesn't make you less smart than anyone else. What an shameful comment.
The world has moved on with the kind of mentality you still hold onto. What good does it do to anyone if he wears a suit, speaks in a posh tone but really does not have the skills and intellect required? Don't you think he has to be at the top of his profession to be featured by the institute of taxation? Times are changing, and we should all change with it. Our society is built on judging and profiling people based on their external characteristics rather than their abilities, intellect and knowledge as individuals. This kind of mentality of judging a book by its covers is the driving force of all kinds of social discrimination in our society. Having a tattoo doesn't make one a moron just like wearing a suit and speaking in a fake posh regale voice doesn't make one intelligent or knowledgeable. I'd rather have a tattooed individual who is knowledgeable and capable than a suit wearing individual who has no clue.
