thank you so much for uploading this. im always getting very emotional when i hear this theme. i absolutely love LOST and have seen it 3 times over the last 10 years and of the greatest shows ever made (except the last episodes). the Kate and Sawyer storyline was brilliant!

My thoughts exactly. I love the mysteries and unanswered questions. For example, and perhaps the biggest: Who was Jacob? One might say he was just a normal person who was ageless, but the fact that he met each of the Oceanic Survivors as children - how he knew John was going to fall out of his window and brought him back to life - it just all hints that he is some sort of God. But then again, how can a God be killed?

You do make excellent points and I definitely won't dispute them. It's what I loved so much about LOST (and I guess what a lot of people didn't) It's open to interpetation and theories and never disputes them. What happened afterwards? What's Mother's story? What about the Egyptians and hieroglyphs everywhere? The show itself didn't focus on it because it was the story for the characters. But it set such a rich scene with such depth of a back story.

I understand what you mean, but I still think that it isn't true. He fulfilled his goal - his destiny to save the Island and kill the Man in Black. That was actually the point of the whole series. And if they were to do a "spin-off" series, Jack wouldn't be in it. He has fulfilled his destiny, and that is it. Besides, as you said, Jack died AFTER he went into the heart, so it wouldn't matter.

But that's the point. You need to die before becoming black smoke. Desmond only survived being at the source because of his high resistance to electromagnetism. Mother told Jacob and the Man in Black that to go down there is "a fate worse than death." Jack didn't become the smoke monster because he didn't die right away. Jack never became black smoke. He died at the end of the series, and we are meant to assume that he is gone. Permanently.

Is this an alternate ending or something because Jack gives the job as protector to Hurley and Jack dies in the last episode in the same place he woke up in the first episode.

If you saw the ending you would know its false.
